Is it OK if I say
"Nigger please" it is not a racist statement obviously.

I've posted "Ma nigga" and wasn't moderated so I assume so.

Can't say I disagree with any of this, but I especially agree with the "simplify" part. The clutter has gotten overwhelming, to say the least. Relating all that to the topic at hand: while I haven't been around much recently, the glances I've had of the moderating team have been overwhelmingly positive. They've even taken the time to inform us why the site's technical glitches and poorer layouts remain unchanged in spite of numerous complaints. I think they'll fulfill their portion of the deal.

My take would be yes for "nigga" (so long as its not used as an insult) no for "nigger."

The defense strenuously motions for a judgment nothwithstanding verdict on this one...

This was an instance of summary judgement. If Defense motions for a full trial, one can be held, though the more Napoleonic nature of our moderation system means that such a trial will occur as sequestered deliberations between mods (AIM seems to be our forum of choice)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

To the appellate level it is then! Are we going with a panel, or will the case be heard en banc?

They're doing great, the best mod team I've ever seen.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I want just reading these threads on gamespot...

http://uk.gamespot.com/forums/topic/29280845/xbox-360-you-fear-it-and-you-know-it

http://uk.gamespot.com/forums/topic/29281014/who-are-the-most....

...and I realised that if these threads were made on VGChartz they would be locked immediately. I don't like this. This is a system wars site, and I think threads like this should be allowed because they are completely harmless except to fanboys who can't accept criticism about their preferred company. Also, they provide funny and sometimes interesting responses. Most importantly though, they encourage people to stop lurking and actually post because they are topics that people are passionate about.

The first thread seems tongue-in-cheek enough to pass master (similar to that "Why LIVE is blatantly better than PSN" that we had a while back). The second one we had a version of that was indeed locked, but that's because a thread like that will inevitably get personal.

As a social experiment, would it be okay for me to post the first thread here on vgchartz? It would be interesting to see the response from the community and you would see lots of lurkers and old posters come out of nowhere and start discussing stuff again because it is a topic that everyone is passionate about. That's my hypothesis, anyway. Also, I'm betting it would get over 200 posts too.

Stop trying to make threads that will become epic. It doesn't work that way.

The thread becomes epic if it is good. This is very rare for a thread that is trying to be epic.

EDIT: Also, that type of thread really needs to be pulled off well to work. RolStoppable can do it. Very few others can. The Gamespot version is abysmal, and I have no desire to try and make this forum more like what is widely accepted as one of the worst forums on the internet.
