So to me it is looking like price of the system is key. So would it be fair to say that Sony has about 2million people waiting in the wing for a price drop and almost another 2million simply waiting on games?
I would like it if Sony would at least tap into the 2mill waiting on that price drop sometime this year. It would be very foolish to let this Christmas season go by without one.

| IamAwsome said: I don't have a Vita yet because: 1. I'm broke!!! 2. There isn't much originality in the games. Most of them seem better on the PS3 3. 3G isn't worth it, not with 4G becoming mainstream, and crappy AT&T 4. I'm waiting on a killer bundle; something akin to the PSP Entertainment Packs with a killer color, or the 3DS bundles Nintendo had last year. The ACIII + White Vita bundle may do the trick. |

I've always kind wanted a handheld but I wouldn't use it enough so I never bought one. Now that I have a smartphone I have no desire for a Vita so I voted smartphone.

I couldn't care less about Portable gaming consoles, (at least as far as owning one goes) if I have spare time on the bus or something I'll use it to think, I don't need electronic entertainment 24/7. I game at night, at home.
Multiple reasons.
1) Way too expensive
2) Already have a 3DS
3) I don't use the 3DS much despite owning one. So I am growing out of portable gaming in general.
4) Not enough games, most are just portable counterparts and that doesn't appeal to me.
I only choose one portable system each gen now because I can get games on my mobile phone and ipod as well. It just doesn't make sense to have more then one portable anymore in general. If I get extra money It's going into my console or PC.
It's just that simple.

Kind of the same with me, ever since I got my PS3 I'm not playing portable nearly as much.
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I think this is the truth that many are not willing to admit....
I have recently tried looking at in the opposite way. I am a PS fan, I love their games. Not so much a fan of Nintendo's stable. So when I see new entries of these titles, I know they are highly praised...might even be a little fun....but they just do not strike my fansy. I got a Vita, and while there are a few games on 3DS that entice me, none of it is enough to trully get me to get one. The only games I would steal for Vita are...

I understand. I am just pointing out the reality of it all. You got a 3DS more because you are a Nintendo Fan rather it mysteriously had tons and tons of games you wanted. It had a reasonable amount sure, but not TONS!
Yet...
People are looking at Vita and no matter what they come out with they still "Have no Gamez!!!" and they are "Down Ports" etc. 3DS has a very comparable roster of games when it comes to quality. There is no miraculous plethera of AAA Non Port, Non big IP series from yester-year on 3DS yet that is what they demand of Vita(basically the impossible).
I was working on compiling a chart detailing the break down of types of games on both platforms. I wanted to make a Thread about it but I can't figure out how to get VGC to recognize colors coding for the life of me. What I found was.
What I found about 3DS....

Well there's your answer. You have 70 games and 20% are new IPs, that's 7 games. If you have 200, that's 20.
The real reason for the "no games" argument is that while you and others may not be keen on Nintendo franchises like Mario and Zelda, (even I'm not if it's on a portable) a huge number of people are, hence something like Mario Kart 7 will have much more draw power than say, Wipeout on Vita. They say "no games" but what they mean is "not enough big name games."
What I find unfair is that the Vita is expected, less than a year into its lifespan, to measure up to the 1.5 year old 3DS. The Vita needs time to grow.
