There are plenty of games for it now. Do not get me wrong, but I have either played them or tried all the good onesEven mario will only keep me busy for a month when it finally comes.

I understand. I am just pointing out the reality of it all. You got a 3DS more because you are a Nintendo Fan rather it mysteriously had tons and tons of games you wanted. It had a reasonable amount sure, but not TONS!

Yet...

People are looking at Vita and no matter what they come out with they still "Have no Gamez!!!" and they are "Down Ports" etc. 3DS has a very comparable roster of games when it comes to quality. There is no miraculous plethera of AAA Non Port, Non big IP series from yester-year on 3DS yet that is what they demand of Vita(basically the impossible).

I was working on compiling a chart detailing the break down of types of games on both platforms. I wanted to make a Thread about it but I can't figure out how to get VGC to recognize colors coding for the life of me. What I found was.

  • Vita has about 70+ Games
  • like 20 % of them are new IPs
  • another 55% are are Ports
  • 25% are Remakes
  • 60% are Multiplatform

What I found about 3DS....

  • About 200+ games released for 3DS
  • Seemingly very similar numbers to Vita breakdown

Well there's your answer. You have 70 games and 20% are new IPs, that's 7 games. If you have 200, that's 20.

The real reason for the "no games" argument is that while you and others may not be keen on Nintendo franchises like Mario and Zelda, (even I'm not if it's on a portable) a huge number of people are, hence something like Mario Kart 7 will have much more draw power than say, Wipeout on Vita. They say "no games" but what they mean is "not enough big name games."

What I find unfair is that the Vita is expected, less than a year into its lifespan, to measure up to the 1.5 year old 3DS. The Vita needs time to grow.
