The price is an issue but not the big one. I mean the psvita will be around for a long time (judging by the psp) so its a good investment.

Right now the issue is the game library, it's limited and the big games are knock offs of games on my ps3.

Release a vita version of type-0 and I'm there.

Mainly due to its price. Had it been at least $199.99 that does not use propriety memory cards, it would've been more acceptable. In addition, I'm somewhat torn between cross platform play. I best prefer an exclusive Vita game that can only be played on it.
The problem with cross platform play is Sony is advertising more exclusively to those who already own PS3 than anything; subtract those who prefers to play these games more on the PS3 than the Vita.

Mainly due to the price, but slightly the games as well. I don't want it to end up like my PSP (I know, I know it had many good games but...). So, I'll wait a few years until it already has a good library and decide then if I really want it.

Well thank God for early adopters, if all gamers were like you every game console would fail. Not to say that your logic isn't sound, it is. Its just their has to be risk in any purchase. Its a give and take.

-Consoles cannot survive unless someone buys them

-Customers are hesitant to buy a console if it doesn't have enough games

-Dev's are weary of releasing games until fanbase grows.

Its a cycle of everyone moving one step at a time I suppose. Someone has to make the first move.

If I could I would have chosen four of the poll options:

- Already own DS/3DS
- Not enough games
- Too expensive (mainly due to memory cards)
- Games are too much like PS3 (which I already have)

Same here with the minor adjustment. My main reason is not enough games (my poll vote), the price I can handle eventually, games too much like PS3 is bothering but I can nitpick for the real exclusives, and I already have a DS and buying a 3DS XL soon, but that does not really stop me to buy another options.

Indeed. I am usually one of the early adopters, but not this time. I guess I could also blame the financial "crisis" for that since everything is at least twice as expensive now as it was in 2007.

I tell you what, I do know where you are coming from tho. PSP owners are probably really afraid Vita will be a repeat offender with massive yr long game droughts. I doubt it but its a rational fear. It is also asking a lot of money in this economy (although in Sony's defense, the PSP was around the same price originally).

Personally, I will be waiting for at least 3 games to release on PS4 that I want before getting it. I bought a PS3 with one game, Heavenly Sword. I loved that game but I spent the rest of my time with PS2 games. At least with the Vita I had Modnation(big fan of the series), Uncharted:GA, and Super Stardust Delta(CRACK!!!) right from the start.

I'm not particularly interested in mobile/portable gaming, but I would pick up a Vita, if it had a TV out and a video player that played all kinds of formats - unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case

I have the money but I barely have free time to play games anymore =(

I hope that this will change in a couple of years.

I somehow doubt(but secretly hope) that FF Type-0 will release this year on Vita. Will it be ported to vita? Most assuredly. Yet the idea of it coming out this year without them ever announcing it seems odd to say the least. The game would sell gang busters tho. Crisis Core did really well if I recall correctly. So depending on what releases in that time(Get P4 if you havent tried it, GREAT!!!) you might/might not want to wait that long for the release.

Heres to hoping for KH BBS and FF Type-0 Ports to Vita :)
