Mainly due to its price. Had it been at least $199.99 that does not use propriety memory cards, it would've been more acceptable. In addition, I'm somewhat torn between cross platform play. I best prefer an exclusive Vita game that can only be played on it.
The problem with cross platform play is Sony is advertising more exclusively to those who already own PS3 than anything; subtract those who prefers to play these games more on the PS3 than the Vita.
