I'm focusing 100% of my time on my PS3 now. There's still to many games to play (I still haven't played the Batman series), so in a couple years when I should hopefully be done and satisfied with my gaming on the PS3 I'm going to buy a Vita and focus all my time on that for a year or so and hopefully by then the PS4 will be affordable for me and I'll buy that and focus half my time on the Vita and PS4. Then eventually when I'm done of the Vita I'll focus all my time on the PS4, it's my never ending cycle.

Question for the people who are waiting for a price drop.... what is the right price?

Wifi only 200? 150? 100?
3G and Wifi 250? 200? 150?

I actually would agree but would add that the "perception" of the games is skewed by the price of entry. I am seeing it over and over. Gamers are demanding far more from the games of PS3 and Vita than they do with any other console mainly because it cost them more to gain entry to those games in the first place(my observation). The ipad/phone/etc cost like $800, for a gaming machine that is pretty ridiculous, BUT.......if you want games for it you lose only a measly 2 dollars. Often times completely free, plus all the apps and services.

And they are super successful(most anyway). I am a firm believer that game consoles have been overcharging hardcore all this generation. I was fine paying 40-50 for a brand new title, then this gen started. The consoles were way more expensive than last, and the games went up 10 bucks, not to mention they are all a lot shorter for your money,then they get riddled with overpriced DLC. THIS is whats wrong with the gaming industry. PRICE always changes perception of what you are buying. If you pay a dollar for a hamberger you care very little of how unrefined it is, but if you were paying 10 for just a sandwich it better be cut from the fat of god.

I guess my point would be Vita games are being over scrutinized because of the price of the system. If the system was cheaper people would be a lot more willing to just try the games that are supposedly"uninteresting" to them. There are some AA class games on Vita, many very comparable to any of Nintendo's offering. There is also a simple factor of brand loyalty which will never change for some, but my point still stands.

No games, no exclusives and high price. New exclusives are the most important issue to justify the purchase.

Tbh... around 150-170, just like the 3DS. I'm not willing to pay more than that for a portable.

Oh, and thats with a memory card included just like the 3DS.

150 could be a maximum, but 100 would produce a far higher likelyhood of me buying any portable console (not a big fan of them). At that price, anyway, PSV would be on top of my list, because I find its controls the best for my tastes. And about controls, while I find DS and 3DS ones decent, the idea of a 3DS XL with Circle Pad Pro XL gives me seizures, they should really have included the second thumbstick in every new 3DS design, but particularly in the XL.
Games are the most important thing, the right price is the second most important thing, but once a system has both, good controls decide whether I'll buy it or not, and while on PC and home consoles I can add my favourite controls, on a portable I can't.
