Forums - Nintendo - Rayman Legends is Exclusive to Wii U

Is it really so farfetched that Nintendo would "money hat" a 2D platformer???
With all their claims they're trying to work with third-party developers, I don't see why this is so farfetched...
And I'm not even trying to make it out to be a bad thing...
Maybe they should have done it sooner...

Have a nice day...

I believe the reason this feels far-fetched is because:

1) Nintendo historically did not do this

2) (adding in my part) why would they moneyhat a game in a genre they cover so well? They could have used this opportunity to get more diverse content exclusively onto their system.

You're second point is definitely valid, but I don't think we can put a lot of stock in what they did in the past...

It seems as though we've already seen them do a lot this time around that they haven't done in generations past (third-party opinions and whatnot)...

As for why they would moneyhat this game, I honestly don't know...

Maybe in an effort to remind older gamers of what they loved about the NES and SNES (2D experiences)...

I imagine this game and NSMBU would do a decent job of that...

Having said this, it would appear from all of this info that for the time being, Rayman Legends is indeed an exclusive...

But I imagine if it doesn't fair much better than Rayman Origins it will get ported...

Have a nice day...

Seems odd considering the Rayman Origins didn't do as well on Nintendo platforms.

I wonder if Nintendo wanted it as a timed exclusive.

Wow, some people get banned because they make constructive post about this topic, even if it's let's say controversial, but without insulting, offending or trolling anybody...and some other spam s*** like this and that's very welcome. Yeah that's the internet nowadays...

Edit: It's not the first time I get warnings or get banned because of saying things not in favor to Nintendo. Something wierd is going on here...

Now let me change my statement all right? "I'm glad Rayman doesn't come to Sony systems, 98% of their audience are fanboys and casuals and they only buy LBP games instead of better ones like Rayman."

Let's see if I get banned again....

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey
