nice! I hope the first game gets ported to WiiU later

?? the original is on Wii and the Wii U is backward compatible, it would be a waste of time to port it

It's the lame version of the game, though. I think Roma wants the HD version.

I am extremely surprised that this is a full blown exclusive. This isn't something I expected to see at all. Weird stuff..

why is it a lame version?? Its the exact same thing, it has the same features as the PS360 the only difference is that it doesnt have that extra 720p sheen, but even then why wait for a port that will proably never happen, when he could just get the game for the HDs or even PC for dirt cheap? If he is that concerned about HD

well I'm not in a hurry so I has no problem waiting and if doesn't happen and I feel the need to get it I will get it on one of the platforms I own :P

fair enough, if this game is really exclusive it will be the first i would get for Wii U...2-3 years from now and it'll probably 20 bucks or less

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Don't they understand Nintendo fanboys and casuals (98% of the WiiU buyers) will all buy the "New" Mario game and ignore Rayman Legends, even if Rayman will be the much better (and "newer") game???

I don't care if it's a temporary exclusive, but you HAVE to release this on PS3 & Vita!!!

Well, if the game bombs hard enough, kinda like the last one, then they will most likely port it. But i agree, very few people will pick this over Mario, the last time Rayman proper was big was way the hell back on the PS1, hell that was the only game that sold large amounts. Maybe Ubisoft is banking on it being a launch game

Nintendo has stated that they do not buy exslusives. They accept offers from devs, but they will not spend money to make  a dev release the game only on their system.

Well thats not true because NOE paid the BBC £10 million for Doctor Who games.

Obsiously it is a timed exclusive i'm even willing to take a bet.

Ports for end 2013 in worst case.

I dont believe it since my online retailer has already listen this title for PS3 and X Box 360 too. And most of the time my retailer is right.

I would not be surprised when it comes to Vita and 3 ds too.

NINTENDO

nintendo forever . . .

For now. I'll give it six months at the most before 360/PS3 get ports for $30

It might get ported, but if it does really well theres a chance it might not. And besides even if it did Wii U version would be the definitive superior one, with unique gamepad features and whatnot.

I don't particularly understand this decision in all honesty. I know VGChartz figures aren't the most reliable source (!), but the Wii version of Origins is noticeably the lowest of all the console versions, and even across 5 consoles I've read that the game is only barely profitable. Which is especially surprising given the synergy between Rayman & the Wii brand in recent years thanks to Rabbids.

I don't understand what they have to gain by making exclusive, especially if there's been no moneyhat from Nintendo, but it's their decision. Hope the game does well anyway. What little I played of Origins was a lot of fun.

Well, the trailer clearly shows that the entire game was designed with the Wii U controller in mind. And given how it will release close to launch/christmas, sales are likely to be very high, even on a Nintendo console. In a previous trailer they also showed how dolls can be put on the Wii U controller and interact with the game, which is something the Vita can't do.

It simply wouldn't make sense to port this game to another console. They would have to redesign the whole thing.

I really like the box-art!!

And, since I'm confused by the comments about stuff... I'll say... good? *awkward smiley face*
