Maybe... just maybe, this game is exclusive because it's unplayable the way it's supposed to be played on other platforms?? Maybe?

(they could use vita+ps3 but I don't think any 3rd party dev will release a game that needs a Vita to work)

Then i guess it will be unplayable for the 3 other people that cant use the gamepad? Could whatever control setup they are using not be transferable to any other device?? Yeah, not buying it. Unless im missing something and the game isnt multiplayer?

That's the point. It would be half-assed (missing a lot of features) and losing a lot of what made the game famous in the first place - for example that level that received the most applaud at e3 was possible because of the gameplay. Check the videos, lots of levels use the gamepad too.

Like I said, except for that near-field communication thing (the heart stuff), everything can be ported to the ps3/vita combo, but I doubt they'll do that.

Thats funny, couldnt you use the same argument for COD on Wii? But those were still made and i cant think of anyone who would say not to make those. Hell you can say the same for most Wii multiplats.

I noticed you never answered my question about the other Wii U players who would be playing the game. So essentially 3 of 4 people would be playing the half assed version anyway. I dont think thats a winning formula for a game that is touting multiplayer as one of its features

Well, I think this game will work intrisically with the gamepad, so if you cut all of it, it's going to be a lot of stuff - so it's not just one or two features or even graphics. Multiplayer levels will be severely changed, for example.

I don't really know, or care, to be honest if it's going to be multiplat or not. It's not really a big exclusive, that could help the system's future. And I'm not even saying the gamepad is unique - PS3 + Vita could do the same and it's the only combination that could work for me. Maybe Rayman on Vita sold bad and they won't bother, maybe they want to grow the franchise exclusively (has its advantages) or maybe Nintendo money hatted. Whatever, but outside this option (ps3+vita) I see minimal chances of porting.

But do you not have the option to play this game with a regular controller or the Wiimote? Kinda like how alot of WIi games can be played with Wiimote, CC, or even GC controller? Im not trying to be an ass, i really dont know. Because if what I stated is true then we are just going to have to agree to disagree as it would not be that hard to port after all. ANd Vita version isnt too to bad all things considered, it was released long after the others, I dont see the 3DS version doing better, that wont come out till NOV, thats a whole year later. Hell really each one indivuadally sold like crap IMHO

I will bet anything this game will be released in some form or the other in the other platforms in a year or so. Ubi would be brain dead to not do so unless they moneyhatted to make it worth it.

Yeah, it sold like crap. Maybe that's why they're trying a different approach. Instead of releasing on every device known to man, stick to the new one. We're disagreeing not on facts, so it's ok.

3DS version of Origins got a november release only in North America, surely to pair with Legends release.
