Forums - Nintendo - Rayman Legends is Exclusive to Wii U

I'm sorry, but it's not OK.  Look under the official rules at the rule that concerns content.  Skim down to the part that concerns spam.  It pretty much states that what you guys were doing with short comments that are repeating the same thing that doesn't add any content is pretty much the 100% definition of what spamming is.  There's nothing wrong with goofing off and making jokes (Lord knows that I do), but spamming the same thing about box art isn't okay.  Ninpie I have nothing personally against you, Pavolink, or Boutros, but what you guys were doing was wrong.  I am not trying to come across as a strict jerk, but the rules are just that - the rules.  Please don't do it again.

I never said it was OK, though. Where did you get that from?

Seems odd considering the Rayman Origins didn't do as well on Nintendo platforms.

I wonder if Nintendo wanted it as a timed exclusive.

Nintendo is not buying exsclusives. They have said this.

You don't know what kind of deal Ubisoft and Nintendo could have made.

And it doesn't necessarily have to be cash up front. For example, maybe Nintendo can simply waive fees to entice them.

Yes I do. Nintendo is not going to state they aren't buying exslusives multiple times then go buy one a day later. If there is one thing I can rely on Nintendo for, its staying true to their convictions.

Right..

When asked directly about whether a new 3DS model was in the works, Miyamoto was clear in his answer.

I really feel like I'm satisfied with the 3DS hardware as it is. I feel like it's the best for this generation. What we're thinking about right now is probably going to be for a future generation of handheld.

Nintendo announces 3DS XL

Video games giant reveals larger model of handheld console 3DS will be available on 28 July.

Whats your point?

Yes I do. Nintendo is not going to state they aren't buying exslusives multiple times then go buy one a day later.

Makes this sound rather silly, as if Nintendo's public statements are somehow gospel and will not change subject to business interests, or just be flat out misleading in the first place.

Iwata has never gone back on his word to date.

I still don't see why people get mad over buying exclusives. I'm pretty sure paying people to get exclusivity is a part of business.

??? Nobody is getting mad. People are adamant that they did for negative reasons like they did with MH4. As if a developer wouldn't release something only on a Nintendo console do some problem or inferiority on Nintendo's part. They make it sounds like Nintendo can't achieve otherwise.

The biggest problem is that it contradicts known facts. Iwata has repeatedly said they are sticking to their strategies and he has repeatedly said they are not buying exslusives.

No one is getting mad over it. Its just silly that people keep insisting they did in spite of all else to the point where it has gotten redundant and annoying.

Sure, Iwata, but not Nintendo as a whole as you were saying and I believed was ridiculous, hence the reply.

I've never known Nintendo do to it either.

Myamato doesn't handle the console release division and he has been known throw people off the trail before. I remember way back when people spreading rumors about how to get the triforce in Ocarina of Time. He made up this riddle about a secret grotto where they can find it. Of course there wasn't one and if you went looking for then you'd end up looking ilke an idiot just like with all of the other rumors.

LOL! So lying bold faced is now throwing people off the trail? I love it, a lie is a lie.

@nintendopie The only ones who are mad are the ones in denial, the ones who believe Ninty didnt buy anything or do any favors for these games to get them on the system a little early or exclusively. I for one im happy they are cause now I can believe them when they say they are serious about getting 3rd party support. It shows

Maybe... just maybe, this game is exclusive because it's unplayable the way it's supposed to be played on other platforms?? Maybe?

(they could use vita+ps3 but I don't think any 3rd party dev will release a game that needs a Vita to work)

Then i guess it will be unplayable for the 3 other people that cant use the gamepad? Could whatever control setup they are using not be transferable to any other device?? Yeah, not buying it. Unless im missing something and the game isnt multiplayer?
