| Kresnik said: I don't particularly understand this decision in all honesty. I know VGChartz figures aren't the most reliable source (!), but the Wii version of Origins is noticeably the lowest of all the console versions, and even across 5 consoles I've read that the game is only barely profitable. Which is especially surprising given the synergy between Rayman & the Wii brand in recent years thanks to Rabbids. I don't understand what they have to gain by making exclusive, especially if there's been no moneyhat from Nintendo, but it's their decision. Hope the game does well anyway. What little I played of Origins was a lot of fun. |
Well, the trailer clearly shows that the entire game was designed with the Wii U controller in mind. And given how it will release close to launch/christmas, sales are likely to be very high, even on a Nintendo console. In a previous trailer they also showed how dolls can be put on the Wii U controller and interact with the game, which is something the Vita can't do.
It simply wouldn't make sense to port this game to another console. They would have to redesign the whole thing.
