Well, kind of yes, and what's wrong with teaching kids to take care of themselves, be kind to others, not be wasteful or glutenous.

Am I missing the point or isn't being a good Stewart what we want to each our kids? (if not, there are plenty of MTV shows that are showing kids what not to do.)



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

i thought it is great to see a movie as a kid that appeals to you, and when you watch it years later as grown up you realize that not only it is still great but also so much more that you couldn't comprehend when you were younger.

that's the truly great movies.

Oh, and Rose Profond comes to mind, but that was probably never aimed at children in the first place, but if you didn't see that cover it could make you think so for a while until you go WTF...

Eh, it's an interesting thought, but I see it as companies trying to do a bit more than they'd be required to. Instead of just being kid films, these are true family films meaning they have something for all age groups. They'll do things to keep adults interested throughout the movie simply because it's smart to try and get as wide an audience as possible. This way one gets a tiny bit more wiggle room in exploring a storyline or character development.

Hmm... Toy story 3? That movie had quite an adult theme....ignoring the talking toys, of course

With that particular one it is less so about the topic. Its a good topic for children to learn. What I was trying to say is that the movie disguises that theme so well that most children walk away never knowing it was there. Yes you are missing the point. I am not saying whether any of these are themes children should or shouldn't be learning. I am simply pointing out the very adult nature of their execution in these movies. This stuff goes right over the typical kid's head because of the way it is presented. The way these animations disguise these themes is woven behind a prototypical cartoon facade.
