Ah, just a joke - you should have written 8 years. I don't really care for these numbers and even think Vita's numbers in the US are low - DS numbers too - going by last month NPD.
Miserable sales. I can't wait for the 3DS's XL/NSMB2/Brain Age boost.

3DS is holding well before the revision drops, PS3 barely topped it.

You can even see it in America now, where despite strong software sales led by a decent opening for Heroes of Ruin, HW sales have reached their lowest since the week ending 6/2. Next week will be the beginning of really bad HW sales in the West, but luckily it will also be the week of the XL's Japanese release.
Actually, it will be interesting to see if KH3D, easily the biggest 3DS release in the West since Kid Icarus, can push enough hardware to stave off the true pre-XL slump for one more week. |
Actually, the 3DSXL came out here in Europe on Friday, so sales will be included next week.
TBH, I expected worse from the 3DS. And the Wii back above 50k, as I predicted for this week. But I did not predict that Vita fall. What a nightmare! It'll likely be below 40k in a couple weeks!

Not really, it's still dropping heavily WoW (and more YoY), it just dropped less than the 3DS this week.
When the 3DS outsells (nearly) everything combined next week, it'll be a different story...
Ouch @ 360 sales. They need to give it a price cut ASAP. Also, it's surprising that Wii's sales increased.
My prediction threads:
Wii U will sell under 40m units (made on 14th September 2012)
PS Vita will sell under 20m units (made on 30th September 2012)
Wii U will sell under 7m in 2013 - I was right

Why? It's merely fluctuating...but it's been increasing for a few weeks now, and VGC are undertracking it by about 500k, according to Ninty's latest figures...

It just seems odd that a dying consoles sales are increasing, that's all. And wow, I had no idea VGC had it undertracked by 500k... :0

Nice to see ps3 first again but those vita sales are flat out terrible. I've finally conceded now the thing needs a price cut :(
