They change a whole lot, every Year. Be it AI, Physics, Control... Modes, gameplay types. In FIFA 13 theyre significantly updating the manager mode, for example. Ultimate Team, Virtual Pro, the option to be a Goalkeeper.

FIFA games are actually quite deep. Its not just an updated roster.

Wii best WoW WW increase for HW, PSP the only other to increase WW, both thanks to stellar SW and very good HW increases in Japan. PSP enjoys the best SW increase in Japan and WW, followed by Wii in Japan and by 3DS WW.
The others are flat or dropping, but PS3 has decent HW and very good SW increases in Japan.
PSV modest HW decrease and modest SW increase everywhere. Before a price drop and more big SW better its position, PSV HW needs to better a little in Europe and Japan, and a lot in USA and rest of the World.
