Personally I thought it was a great movie but not a great superhero movie (if that ever makes sense). It was the most un-comic-book, comic-book-movie I've ever seen. It was basically the story of a crippled Bruce Wayne who came out of retirement to do one last good deed before....going back into retirement and pass the torch to somebody else. Also, his leg brace fave him the ability to kick thru concrete and yet he never used it in battle. What gives?

I... didn't like it. In fact, I'd call it the worst superhero movie of the three that came out this summer. I found the good guys to be as compelling as toast, thought the action was meh, and the theming was garbage. Sorry, I don't understand why all of you think this deserves an 8 to 10 out of 10. It strikes me as being in the 3 to 5 category.

I assume you thought the same about BB and TDK then?

No. BB was a decent film, and The Dark Knight was a truly Great film, quite possibly the best superhero film ever. I just feel like TDKR retains their faults (Batman looking and sounding a bit silly, darkness induced apathy, mediocre fighting, etc.) while picking up some new problems (problematic themes, less believability, too little Batman, etc.).

The first Matrix is a perfect movie but the sequels were not as good. I don't think they are horrible like most people said but they are simply not as good as the original.

good points salnax but those flaws dont make it a 3 - 5 /10 movie. Far from it. I think you being a bit too harsh :/

Perhaps. I don't see that many bad movies, so my view is a bit off. I just think that Avengers and Amazing Spider-Man were mediocre, and TDKR was a bit worse. If mediocre is a 5 or 6 on a 10 point scale...

Maybe I wouldn't be so hard on TDKR is it had a clear theme like its predecessors.

I would actually like you to expand upon what themes you found problematic, and what you found less believable in TDKR ...

I just got back from it and it was pretty damn good, but I dont think it was better than the dark knight and I watched that just last week. Joker is a far better villian

Hello Joker!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Having seen the movie just a few hours ago, I completely agree with the OP. I have nothing more to add on top of what pezus said, regarding the movie's quality.
@ The people that like this over TASM and The Avengers : Are you serious ?Let me guess, the transformers movies must be somewhere in your top 10 or so.
Sorry , I'm aware that people are entitled to have their own opinion..but that's just plain .. disappointing. Go see more movies.Build up some true taste.
