Forums - Sony - Uncharted rip off for 360 and PC! ......omg this is so wrong, Sony should sue ;-)

I kind of assumed people were being facetious about this being an Uncharted rip-off

But then some people came in and I'm pretty sure they are serious about it

It's a shameless rip-off and that's what's hilarious, after the PABR fiasco this is like almost a joke, but the even funnier thing is that it's real, and the shameless plug in OP was well highlighted by Sal.

It's all just really funny, it's too bad it passed above peoples' heads like that, some taking advantage of it to put other posters down.

Just laugh guys.

Uncharted is a bastardized version of Tomb Raider while Adventurer seems to be an improved version of Uncharted.

Watch the video in the OP, truthful to the design mentality of Eastern Europe this game actually has its focus on gameplay instead of cinematics.

You speak the truth. Uncharted's cinematics would have been bearable if its gameplay wasn't so shallow and easy. The game is streamlined for 6 yr olds.

Yes, this feature is only exclusive to the Uncharted games and to none other...

There are definately a lot of other games like that, but we're discussing Uncharted here, so I thought I'd bring it up. And Uncharted being streamlined doesn't make it a bad game, as games like Megaman are the same in that respect. What makes it a bad game, for me, is when it's coupled with a "walk through the park" difficulty. Being 22 years old and gaming since I was 5, I'm expecting a bit more than pretty graphics from my games.

I wouldn't say "walk through the park" easy, it did have some difficult moments. At least when you compare it to say a "flOwer" or something like that.

I just don't see it. Mechanically the two games seem pretty far removed. This is like any of a dozen properties from the past twenty years that found their roots in the penny dreadfuls of the 20's and 30's

The only thing that's remotely close is that the 2 dudes like a tad like Drake and Sully

I mean obviously it shares a certain style and mode with Uncharted, yes

But this is an established, respected subset of the adventure genre

And I assumed the OP was making a joke about people calling it an Uncharted ripoff

No, it really is! :) I mean, I'm a huge fan of Indiana Jones, but I wouldn't go so far as to say UC copied Indy :) They're really different in so many ways.

This really looks like a shameless clone though! :D That's what's so hilarious :)

You keep saying that, so obviously you believe it

And I'll grant that Uncharted's success probably has something to do with this game's setting

But can you actually qualify calling it an Uncharted ripoff in a way that won't also reference Romancing the Stone?
