I still think you are joking. Yes, only the hair. If you say so.

If you are going to compare shots then you at least try to compare those of the same variety. Otherwise it is a worthless comparison. In this case, you are comparing an young woman character modal that obviously has no major detail to an old many. This would have been a better shot to use.

What is the second set suppose to be? I remember seeing people doing that with photos and graphics back in 2006 when Crysis was the hot topic. Photo realism isn't hard to achieve for simplistic environments. All you need to do is use photographic textures.

Even comparing both old men, the one shown in Luminous is ages ahead of this one in FFXIII, much much more deailed, and not to mention the poor lighting technique in FFXIII.

Ages? He is more detailed but not a whole lot more. That modal is easily doable on the 360 or PS3.

just stop....as example even if the face would look the same, the rest is just a joke compared to the luminous engine demo.

€dit: too late

edit 2: exactly what pezus said did i try to tell people like aldro all the time. they are always only talking about faces as if the whole game would be only "looking at a face"

Do you know what this game is and what system its running on? The tpe of detail you are focusing on is nothing new or technically impressive. It is easily achieved.

If he showed more than faces so would I. I've yet to see anything that would be difficult to achieve on the 360 or PS3 aside from the hair.

i'm now 95% sure it's a troll account. he even said pc is his favourite system on his wall he should know that even battlefield which destroys every console game  (with high res and everything on highest settings) looks bad compared to the new techs.

Beyond shows a great visual, but you cant try to compare both because the lightning techniques shown in this engine are not possible in this gen, and all thech demos shown by SE seemded outdated when their first games using new engines were out, for example, the FFXIII is much more beautiful than FFVII techdemo.

That doesn't even make sense. And who are you calling a troll out of nowhere with your lack of details or facts.

When did I say anything about battlefield? I do not care about that game. I always thoght it looked like crap graphically even on the PC. If you want me show what the PC can do I can pull out far better than Battlefiled 3. Thats just a crappy console port. What you "think" looks better doesn't mean anything.

sure in reality battlefield 3 on pc looks bad to games on console with same open areas (ok singleplyer is not even very open but multiplayer maps). and crappy console port hahahaha

and at the guy above: please stop posting that creepy picture, i can't see that anymore it's really not nice^^ the pictures of her with long hair are good but i can't see that picture without a bad feeling lol. looks like a dead person for me.

well this turned out to be something rather interesting :D

Why do you only look at the faces? Look at the clothes! The fingers...fingers normally stick out like a sore thumb (excuse the pun).

Yes, it is what I want to say, faces, only faces can't be used to make these comparisons, you need to see everything, particles, lightning, number of polygons, physics, etc... it makes both engines impossible in current consoles.

How? Please explain how those things make both engines impossible on current gen consoles.

Do you how many polygons the 360/PS3 can push? Do you know how many wer used in those tech demos? Do you know the shading limit of the consoles?

Show me one instance of something that could not be done on the current gen consoles aside from the hair detail?

The only engine I've seen that is significantly too far ahead for current gen systems is the UE4 engine.
