LOL, first only the real time lightning as shown in both engines are not possible in current consoles, if it were like you are saying, then MGS4 can run on PS2 without any downgrade.

I don't see how that is anything like I said. The PS2 didn't have the ability to do even the most basic texture effects. Thats miles away from any analogy I would use.
Whats so special about that real time lighting? What makes it impossible on the 360 and PS3?

As I said, running UE4 as shown on the presentation and demo walkthrough on PS3 is the same as running MGS4 on PS2.

| NintendoPie said: Really, how much farther can graphics go? I don't think Sony and Microsoft will want to spend that much money next generation ESPECIALLY if Nintendo's console is attractive price wise. Wii U's titles are still in development, expect them to be at least a little more polished once they actually release. |
Graphics can go FAAARRRRRRRR. Current games trick you by using terrible lighting, linear gameplay, texture pop-in, awful shadows, no tesselation. Open world games usually have bare scenery because there isn't enough power. Devs always find ways to make games looks better. Always.
Read this PDF to show how Crytek is even complaining that PC tech isn't caught up to what they do. It's a great read, shows how they made Crysis 2 from a great looking game to an amazing one. http://www.mycrysis.com/sites/default/files/support/download/c2_dx11_ultra_upgrade.pdf

Yeah, I've said that the Unreal Engine is the only one that is impssobile on current gen consoles multiple times in this thread now. Do you read before replying? That was never being debated. Not by me anyway.
We've been talking about the new Square Engine. I'm waiting to see what is so special about it aside from the hair detail and why it can't be run on current gen consoles.

If you're trying to make me believe that PS3 can run Luminous like that techdemo, you are failing hard, it is impossible, good luck in you world of dreams.

Well, you sure told me with all of those details and facts in this post... If you were just going to waste my time with informationless allusions then you should have posted this earlier.
I've posted visual evdence to back every claim I've made which is more than I can say for you or the rest. I don't just talk out of my rear end like a fanatic console graphics *hog*.
While i can appreciate the step up in graphical fidelity that demos such as the UE4, squere enix demo, and watch dogs demo show...i also believe that it is becoming increasingly harder to distinguish the difference between current gen graphics and next gen graphics.
Most people can see the major difference between digimon on PS1 compared to shadow of the collosus on PS2 compared to U2 on PS3. But the amount of people that can distinguish the difference between the new tech shown at E3 to say U2, U3 etc. is much less.
And as we continue to advance in graphical fidelity...less people will notice the difference. Not to mention that computing power in its current form will slow down tremendously in the future.
Heres the important part imo: Its not that next gen will show inferior gains to the current gen compared to what we've seen in the past, but it will appear that way to the average joe playing games.

I'm laughing, when someone ports MGS4 or any PS3 game to PS2 without downgrade, so that tech demo will also run on PS3 hardware without any downgrade.
