Can't wait for either game.
After watching that off-screen demo of Beyond, I'm even more hyped than I already was. Having the ability to temporarily "take over" another person's body?? Amazing. And the graphics...wow. It was an OFF-SCREEN demo, and I watched it on my phone, yet I was still blown away at the look of the game. And Ellen Paige is brilliant for this role. Only negative is that I hope they have an explanation for why she was able to take on all those cops ontop of the train. Was a little confusing, since it didn't seem like Aiden (sp?) was helping her.
TLoU looks incredible, and its E3 demo made me even more hyped, but it was already guaranteed to be a good game, considering who's making it. Beyond has me so excited bc I was expecting QD's game to be good, but nowhere near THIS good. Color me hyped.
This thread is pure amazing. A lot of info and the ellen page comparison to the in game character is just mind blowing.
Not to be mean or anything, but I think I would have enjoyed the trailer for Beyond if the character was thinner and looked less like a boy. Don't know why they made her like that because Ellen Page doesn't look like that.

I saw maybe 5 minutes of The Last of Us gameplay footage and ~25 minutes of Beyond - Two Souls
Just search on YouTube for it and you will find it. The game play reminds a lot of Geist from Gamecube which was a Nintendo published title lacking technical polish but had some great gameplay mechanics.
Well, the Quantic Dream version has absolutely stellar technical polish and everything else looked super awesome in the 25 minutes of straight gameplay shown which included train, motor bike, taking out entire swat team including helicopter.
Guys. The Last Of Us' inventory system is quite simply brilliant.
The way it doesn't pause alone makes it great. When you add in that you need materials to make stuff, it gets even better.
For example, on the playthrough we saw. Joel made that Molotov. He had the option between making a new weapon, or making a bandage. The game will promote exploration. It will promote both stealthily going through levels, to avoid using materials/ammo and running in to kill 'em all, to get supplies you really need.
I can't wait.
Good dicking jesus! An inventory system and exploration!? That's awesome, and totally makes sense, an inventory system would feel a lot more... survivalist? And while adding more non-linear levels doesn't really change my attitude, it's a problem a few others have with the Uncharted series and I'm glad ND are paying attention ^^
Yep they have used some real clever approaches to gameplay with this one. Strategy will be a big part of the game
