Cheaper to make and with the bigger install base (soon) in japan. Not only that, it's already receiving Dragon Quest games.

If they announce it this year, it'll go to the 3DS.

But I don't think they will announce it this year. Too early after the Wii release of DQX and without the WiiU version released. And they will want to wait to see if the new MMO style is welcomed by the buyers or not.

DQ always goes to the most popular system in Japan so most likely 3DS or PS3. Wii already got DQ10.

3DS. After DQX bombs on Wii/WiiU, they will want to go the safe route which proved to be brilliant, sales-wise.

3DS install base will be massive, it will already have a core DQ audience and dev costs wont be as high.
