Kids, listen to Barozi. Sometimes it's over, sometimes it's under, and the same happens with every console.

"About Vita," said Sony CEO Kaz Hirai (via translator), "the last year, [we sold] 1.8 million units for US, Japan, Asia and Europe. And as a starting phase, I think it was a good start."

Sony announced 1.2 million worldwide Vita sales at the end of February 2012, which means that 600,000 Vitas were sold during March.

We have it at 1.66m....

So 15 days of supply ? Sounds a bit low as well.

EDIT: Well considering some regions are missing and we don't know how many countries are counted in "Europe", it's not as bad.

it said last year, not last quarter. Does it mean only 1.8M PSV were shipped since launched in Japan last year to 31st of March, 2012?

Yes he's probably talking about the fiscal year, which is March to March. But there are some countries missing, so it should be a bit more than 1.8m.

Yes... for comparison: Nintendo shipped 3.6M 3DSs from launch till 31st of March 2011..

So Vita overtracked here a lot?

I think ps3 is overtracked, those who would try to claim otherwise will need a reality check, however the number is not as significant as other users in this thread are pointing out, somewhere in the region off 500-750k max would probably be fine. But then again, it was fine to have somewhere like 1.9m of 360s on shelves, whereas 400k ps3 is a perfectly legitimate amount. Some users are weird, to say the least.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

what's with the loss? didn't they expect even 6.8 billion loss some time ago or did i confuse something? i would say it sounds horrible, but it's not as bad as some thought.
