lol how did I know this thread would devolve in a bunch of bitter Nintendo fans venting the true reasons why they hate Sony

3Ds and Wii U = more Nintendo fans now.

I still remember not long ago before the Wii U was announced it was mostly MS and Sony fans arguing and ignoring Nintendo.

Can people not debate nowadays? I merely made a point, it was thrown into question, I defended it, and it turned into a debate. No vendetta either way, but you've got to defend your intial point, no? That's what we're doing. And clearly it's engaging, as other people are joining in. The community is designed to get people talking, and arguing. That's what we're doing. Nothing wrong with that...

Also, you need to be careful, because that kind of attitude won't get you far on this site.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Face it, Sony stops this industry from being boring.

That's actually pretty funny...

And truer words have never been spoken. Along with Tak Fugi. Just like Quentin Tarantino keeps the film industry interesting.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Nintendo:
Like: Created some amazing IP's that have lasted eons, snes is probably the greatest console ever made. All the shovelware on Wii
Dislike: Fans, probably the most fanatical, just a tad less annoying than PC elitists.the Wii.

Sony:
Like: Tv,s,movies, music, PS3, does everything I need out of a gaming machine, PS+ unbelievable value for money.
Dislike: SCEE,treat us like lepers.Seem to be a lack of focus in the direction for the PlayStation brand, a bit too reactive for my tastes.

Microsoft:
Like: Software, very few games interest me on 360, but the ones that do are very good.
Dislike: 360's current reliance on the US market, though I'm sure that will change. lack of standout IP's.Kinect.

You know what? Screw it. I don't feel like proving you wrong (though I could). I will accept HappyDolphin's claim as true.

^Whether they are the best or not as an opinion doesn't matter. Assuming they were the best, even then, they have no right to troll their competition.

When has Sony trolled the competition?

I refer you to the Kevin Butler Move Ads

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Nintendo and Microsoft - I don't care enough about either of them to like or dislike them, to me their gaming experiences fit between worthless and redundant albeit fun on occasion

Sony

Like

- hardware

- willingness to succeed no matter the cost

- never abandoning their core market

- constant eye for actual innovations in gaming

- bringing in many small dev teams and nurturing their talent

- constant releasing of quality software all year long which always get progressively better every single year

- never abandoning their hardware

- willingness to work with 3rd parties even if some write them off

- being the most open this gen in terms of hardware

- takes constant risk on gaming experiences

- respects the niche market

dislike

- expensive memory cards

- that shitty shameless knock off of SSB

- that they don't have the time or manpower to support all of their older franchises (albeit I understand why)

- shows no mercy to my poor poor wallet :(

- not selling 25 million units of Vita hardware day one "Sony I are disappoint"

- that move even exist

HappyD was claiming the samething.

In response to all the chaos I created in this thread...lol.

But I see those quotes and I can't really see why they could garner so much hate. Sure they are bad, probably shouldn't have said them, but they aren't attacks or name calling. When talking about DSi's demographic target, they aren't lying, there's nothing wrong with that, Sony is just trying to argue a point that is in their favor of their demographic reach. Those quotes are old and don't represent the actual company. There must be plenty of similarly poorly chosen statements from Microsoft and Nintendo, why dwell on Sony?

The quote about the move, I agree with that statement entirely. It is more accurate than other forms of motion control and can do a few things better, is it better at everything? Does it have more software that showcases its strengths compared to the other? No, but it has those strengths and capabilities. Where in that does it sound like they are attacking other companies.

The more I look into the gaming community, the more unjustified dislike I see, especially for Sony for some reason. Everyone needs to just chill and play some games.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

@Chark Basically we're talking about Jack Tretton for the attacking and name calling. You can look up what he said on the internet. If you want I can post the links, but in general I do find these quotes offensive no matter who they came from.
