Argentina have no claim to the Falkland Islands whatsoever and should not rely on Argentina being closer than United Kingdom to the Falklands. The Falkland Islands have a British based culture, meaning the people of that territory would not take liking to being invaded by a country of a different culture. Argentina are just money hungry and want to exploit the oil underneath the territory.

I once said that "Argentina have no rightful claim to Falkland Islands" to Zexen_Lowe, he threatened to perma-ban me for this.

I think the smartest decision would be that the population on the falkland islands claim independence and sell the oil to the one who is giving the most so that they can live an peacefull and richfull life far away from those UK/Argentinian idiots :).

Lol, good point. If there was 60 billion barrels, worth $7.2 trillion dollars, and they sold it for $3 trillion, then each of the 3,000 Falkland Islanders would recieve 1 billion dollars!

Using Argentinian logic, why not just claim all your neighbouring countries because they are close to you.

The UK should build a few bunkers for the Falklanders and give them 3 low yield nukes with a 100 mile radius.

Or they could match Argentina's military spending for 600 years.

If the Argentinians are to be believed then the HMS Dauntless has nukes on it, and also there is apparently a Royal Navy trafalgar-class nuclear submarine in the waters around the Falklands too. Also, there is a 500 strong British army garrison on the Island permanently, so I think it's protected enough to withstand the Argentinians, at least, until the RAF fighter jets arrive, lol.
