Why don't you just say you're splitting the database people and review people and giving them their own sites? The review site will be gamrReview and the database will be Gamewise. gamrReview will have comments, like they do now and no forum. Gamewise will be like wiki with simple forums. VGChartz will lose the whole hub system and fully featured database with only a skeleton database to attach sales to. VGChartz will revert back to 1.5, but add another tier for Pro level data and provide skeleton data for free. Maybe even have skeleton reviews which will divert to gamerReview for the full reviews. The database may even divert to Gamewise for fully featured geekness. VGChartz will be a skeleton with a fully featured forum. If you want full all out sales data, you'll have to get Pro. If you want fully featured reviews, you'll have to go to gamrReview. If you want fully featured database, you'll have to go to Gamewise. In a sense we are splitting the site. The review team will go to gamrReview, the database team will go to Gamewise. The forum people will stay on VGChartz. It's been nice knowing you (green and blue people and forum regulars)..

Nothing stops you from being a member of both Gamewise and VGC, and occasionally stopping by for the occasional gems written on gamrReview written by that Arthur Kabrick guy, you know.

Too much porn to look at, not enough time to read people's opinions on games. Plus, I look at reviews as spoilers. I like being surprised and finding out if games suck on my own..

I will, however, put work into the database on Gamewise and come to VGChartz to follow up on numbers. So it's most likely, goodbye blue people..

This is exactly what will be happening on VGChartz.com. What happens on Gamewise is another thing entirely and nothing to do with VGC as I have stated many times in the past - it isn't a split - Gamewise is a brand new site starting from scratch.

All of the main stuff that is currently on the VGChartz sites (and some stuff that used to be on previous versions such as more charting tools, simpler forums etc) will be here on this site so it will be a friendly place for people interested in the videogame industry with a focus on industry data, articles, threads etc.

From what I understand of your post (and others who have said the same thing) - we are doing exactly what you're asking for.
