I will wait for the US review. The review you showed me was from the UK gamespot. The tastes of a UK gamer may not be in tune with the tastes of an american gamer therefore I will have to wait for a more reliable American reviewer whose tastes are better matched to mine because we were born in roughly the same geographical region.

What if they don't remake the review because they agree with the original one?, what happens then?. Just look at the metacritic score, so many reviewers can not be hyped for the game or be considered fanboys.

I think a lot of games are influenced by ad money. So there are a lot of overrated/overhyped games on metacritic where non-subjective flaws are sometimes ignored.

I don't think is one of them, because it's not really a "high profile release" like Mass Effect, Skyrim, etc
Sort of like how in Japan, Famitsu gives a lot of Big japanese games near perfect or perfect scores.

Whilst I agree that 'big' titles tend to the more forgiving reviews, this is not a 'big' title, and deserves all the praise it gets. It's unlikely to be re-reviewed by Gamespot BTW. My advice would be to check around and make your own decision based on what users, reviews and videos make you feel about the game.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Finally somebody had to come a ruin the great average of the game, EGM gave it a very undeserved 6.5/10.

say what, I already have the game and It's probably one of my top 10 games this gen. No game is is perfect, but there's nothing that particularly stands out as aweful (except maybe the annoying battle chants XD), like skyrim's PS3 version, or dragon age 2 where they copy paste dungeons like 5+ times and just like doors in a different order for 3/4 of the game. I know opinions vary and all that too.

And I said I don't think this is one of those titles that got points because of forgiving reviews. I'm confused. :-/ Unless you're talking to flaag

Simply the best JRPG of the gen.

AstroMaSSi rules

I've had this game for awhile now and never really got around to playing it, thanks primarilly to my endless schoolwork, in addition to Gears and Skyrim. This needs to change..

Does this game support GCN controller schemes alongside the classic controller?

Nop, this one is for Xenoblade Chronicles, check it out:

EGM 6.5

"Many are calling this the Japanese RPG of this console generation—if not of all time—but it’s simply got too many glaring warts for me to embrace the experience on that level. Instead, I see it as a deeply flawed, tantalizing glimpse of what the Japanese RPG can potentially become in the coming generation."
