My wife loves Curse of Oak island, so much she doesn't wait for me to watch the next episode! I'm sorta up to date with Rick and Marty. I hope they finally find something big this season.

Gold rush is getting old a bit. Tony is still interesting trying to get that old dredge working, however not making a lot of progress so far. Parker keeps saying he wants to break free but keeps doing the same thing. Todd flounders as usual. Show could be called Ego rush as well :)

We finally got to sit down today and begin watching Stranger things 2. We almost made it 4 full episodes before her parents brought the kids back. It's good, I like it. Nostalgia is a powerful thing plus a lot more action this time around.

My 8 year old is addicted to Live PD. He went dressed as a cop from the Tulsa PD gang unit for Halloween. So that's usually on in the weekend.

We binge watched the rest of Stranger Things 2 last night. 7/10 overall.

I got bored towards the end once the mystery phase was over and it came to action only. It was pretty yet turned into the same as any other horror movie with many inconsistencies plus they stole bits from Sense 8. Now where are the other numbered children.

If season 3 goes after the other experiments then sure.

I haven't seen curse of oak island for a while, seems to be on break here. Gold rush is also very slow this year. I'm back to watching DS9 anyway, still a couple of seasons to go.

star wars the last jedi (2017)

felt stiff and uninspired and the fight choreography was just awful, but i liked the reletionship beetween the two leads which they fucked up in the end and luke skywalker and they fucked him up also in the end ... they promise so much but deliver so little. honestly i dont know why i even enjoyed it but i did.

I continued watching Star Trek Discovery anyway and since they literally left the Star Trek universe behind it became a rather enjoyable action movie. I just didn't buy the lame excuse why they were all stomping all over Starfleet values, blame it all on the captain... Anyway very spectacular episode last Sunday, with a lot of nonsense ofcourse, however now they are back in the 'right' universe....

Perhaps it also looks better since I arrived at season 7 of DS9 on Netflix. No wonder it's the last season.

Sci fi has been teasing the return of The Expanse for weeks now, get on with it!

Finally got around to watching Valerian and the city of a thousand planets. 6/10
Beautifully made, amazing art direction yet indeed another juvenile fantasy from Luc Besson. It's the source material of course. Great cgi, couldn't care for the main characters.

And I watched Passengers. 6/10
It was leaning to 7/10 or even higher until the nonsense started ramping up towards the end. Good acting yet too many things didn't make sense.

Both very pretty movies, just very shallow in the end.

There are so many good sci-fi books, why are sci-fi movies always so lacking. I guess 2.5 hours is simply too short to tell a good story.

Any new sci-fi I should be looking out for?

Altered Carbon is getting some buzz.

As for Passengers
