I hope that when you get old, someone has the education you lack to give you his/her seat. Shame on you.

No I don't think you're wrong. Hell, she didn't even ask you to give up your seat. I hate that sort of passive-aggressive behaviour where someone just 'expects' you to do something that you by no means have to do (whether you should or not). No politeness from her= no seat= no guilt for you imo.

Oh yeah, I probably forgot to mention nearly everyone who had a seat was either old or female or both. I was one of the only three or four young males with a seat.

I really don't know what gender has to do with this. Except when they're pregnant.

OT: Totally agree what AlrightyRoo said. They could always aks. If you can't open your mouth, you will never get what you want.
Apparently she was fit enough to stand.

I guess you are right. A female has as much reason to offer her seat as a male. I made that realization earlier.

You are not in the wrong. She should have got a seat at the front of the bus, where old people belong.

If you had given up your seat you could have looked upon all the other lazy bastards on the bus with condescension instead of having to bear it all yourself. Besides, wouldn't sore feet feel better than guilt, shame and self loathing? Don't beat yourself up too bad though, nobody else bothered to get off their fat asses either. At least you feel bad about it and probably won't do it again.

To be honest, the young women who didn't get up are much worse than you, because they didn't even feel guilty about not getting up. They feel it is their right to sit while men should stand; but when inequality doesn't favor them prepare for the wrath of hell.

Next time, try this: Look her in the eye and say, "Hey, big mama. Why don't you sit on my lap?" You may just be surprised what could happen if you think outside of the box.

According to your post, you spent 40 minutes looking at your feet... surely they would have you given you that idea?

I use the fake limp all the time.

In the rare occassions where you have no choice but to park in a disabled spot, limp out the car.

Back in school, I would always develop a limp whenever it was long-distance running in phys. ed.


Interesting. Has the limp ever failed you? Can I use it to cut in line a the amusement park


I hate how crippled people think they have a right to cut in line in various places just because they can't walk. 

I have sympathy for them on a bus, and would give up my seat in a second to a handicapt guy...but no way in hell I'd let a cripple cut in front of me when I've been standing in line for an hour for a roller coaster. They can wait just like everyone else. And if anything their wait is more comfortable because they have wheelchairs and I have to stand.
