I wonder if people think men are gay because they walk on the beach with other topless men

if it would be only on the beach but every second is topless in the own garden everyone can look at. next time i will use a jacket in the sun because there are people under 18 who pass my garden

i understand now what they mean with "huge porn industry but very prude in real life"

i mean, i have two guys and a little girl with GUNS in my sig and really nobody would care about that but if i would have a woman with bikini or man topless it would be "too much" and "this site is meant for people under 18 as well"

that's crazy! yeah they aren't real but what's with a pic of rambo with a weapon or so? nobody would care! what's our nature, born naked  or a weapon in the hand?

sigs can be blocked. I think many people do this alreday because sigs are so long, and many just dont look good while browsing. There is no option to block avatars. That is all we need.

that wasn't my message. my message was that 90% of people who don't like those bikini pics or guy pics wouldn't say anything against rambo or a pic of a gun. the otionn to block an avatar pic as well like the sig is legitimate, no prob with that.

thats your opinion. I can see people not wanting drugs, violence or sex displayed on a  gaming site they browse. I can understand their view for that also. I know this thread was created because of the half naked guys/girls but violence and drugs are in the same catergory. We should have an option to not to display avatars. Or have the rules for them more clearly written. It seems like it would be ok to have stuff in sigs/avatars that wouldn't be ok if it was put in a thread or post. (not counting the NSFW section here)

it's just funny how most who are against topless pics wouldn't have a problem with this pic. erotic isn't the most important part of that pic so it's not a bad pic for them. the message of the pic is a guy killing some people in a few minutes how should this be worse than a pic made to attract some people.

It's not so much the message of the picture I'd wager, it's more about what it says about the person behind them. Having something like Rambo as your avatar is fine, it says you probably think the Rambo movies are cool and maybe that you like action movies in general. That's the sort of information most people will not object to knowing. They may not care about it, but it's not too much or anything of that sort.

When you have an avatar you find sexy though, you're telling the rest of us about your fantasies and very intimate pleasures. And seeing as avatars can't be blocked, you're basically forcing people to know these very intimate details about you, which can be crossing a line for some.

Everyone will of course have different sensitivity to this, but I think that's one reason why people can be uncomfortable with these avatars.

I think there needs to be some clear guidelines based on what kind of site this is. I disabled the sigs because there were ones with nudity gifs in them and I was places where that just wasn't appropriate. Some of the avatars are NOT SFW even if they don't have nudity (trust me, I worked at a big corporation and know the rules quite well).

The problem is there are too many here that keep trying to push the envelope because they obviously get a kick out of that. As a community with the ability to set rules and guidelines, this isn't a free speech/censorship thing. By all intents and purposes, this is a gaming site and community.

I agree. It seems like sigs/avatars go un moderated. people can get away with stuff they should not be able to. ( well i'm not so sure about sigs i have them disabled)

lol what? if i have a bikin girl i just say i like that girl. it's as much intimate then saying i like a rambo movie. why is it intimate to say i like this kind of girls? haha really?

i like slim bikini girls -> oh damn now you know it, sry

maybe i feel more offended by people if they show me that they like movies where someone is killing others? so telling people what kind of girls i like is too intimate but telling people that i like movies with a rambo or that i like a movie like "saw" wouldn't be intimate? wouldn't that say much more about my character if i would tell this an psychologist?

i believe it's much more intimate to tell people which character you have to like crazy animes (damn what do i tell people whith that)

what do i say with my actual pic? am i against darwin or do i believe him? isn't that something nobody should know? and if people should know why shouldn't they know which taste i have in woman? what's the problem with that? that's our freaking nature to like other people!

if i would only have the face of a video game babe like kasumi, wouldn't that say the same intimate about me than a pic of a bikin girl? would you think the same with that pic? i mean i would say with it that i like kasumi, maybe only for her fighting style but most would think because of her right?

Did the rules not include "can not browse gaming websites while working"?

yeah i don't understand that as well. they all say "it's not good in my big corporation to have a site open with a half naked" but it's totally ok to have a site open about video games or what? if you are at work stop surfing on the interent and work for what you get paid for.

american businesses in the past (maybe currently) have pretty strict sexual harrasment laws. Having pictures of girls/guys in bikinis or scantily clad may be against these rules where as going on a game site is not. Its just a waste of time. I have never worked in that kind of enviroment so i am not sure.

ok but that's your american problem then and you just shouldn't visit a site representing some kind of freedom (to chose a avatar you like)... if it would be the same in germany just with pics of comic characters like bart simpson i wouldn't start crying here that those guy's are the reason i can't surf on sites about cars or so anymore...
