I'm Norwegian. I view the English as having a mix of a few different cultures. On one hand, it seems to have a larger amount of agressive, stupid people who cause loads of problems all the time. A good example of these are the somewhat crazy to batshit crazy football fans.
On the other hand, the most brilliant people also seem to be English. Quite a lot of the friends I think the highest of are English, and on the internet English people are nearly always lovely, and clearly hold the highest average of quality in their posting. Additionally, virtually all the culture I love is English. Whether it's television, books or movies. In English fiction, the solution is very, very rarely as stupid as a big fight between the good guy and the bad guy, which sadly is how it is in most other prose.
The only English city I've been to is London, but from my experience, Londoners are absolutely lovely. They're nice, outgoing and funny. If there's any city I could imagine living in outside of Oslo, it's London.
