I'm from the uk and never drink tea and certainly don't eat crumpets, I love football, listen to rap and love a macky d's or kfc

I dont believe you are from the uk. Everybody drinks tea there to certain times. You then have to stop everything you do and drink tea.
Who was the third british president ?

Tea and crumpets is the shit...just saying. I'd be more than happy to be stereotyped as a crumpet eating tea glugger. But my teeth are fine, and my accent is epic too. You'd be surprised at how much someone's accent is affected by their class in the UK, I'm not trying to be a snob, but the people who live in the next town over, which is generally considered to be a bad area, have awful accents.

I think you have bad teeth and a horrible accent which is difficult to understand (especially those that live near Scotland). Actually, I don't really think too much about the English but I do believe USA might have been better off staying a colony.

Hi Seth, some of what you said might be in jest but it sounds like you know little about The UK.

Yea, you have to read later in the thread where I reveal that it is just stereotypes in USA cartoons.  Basically, I was just being a jackass (someone was going to say the bad teeth "joke" plus I wanted a bunch of reply to feel extra special) on the first one but real on the last two parts.  The not being able to understand some British people is legit.  I've been on a few cruises and been to vacations in the Caribbean where I've run into a few that I had decent conversations with. Some I can understand but people of northern England and Scotland I have trouble with.

UK is a tough, class-driven country.  Been there for 3 months a few years ago and geez, that 3h in the morning bar closing in Liverpool was a mess...  As for the queen, I dunno why people still give a crap about those stupid symbols from the past.

Sure ?

TBH any strong accent can be difficult to understand. I'm from Yorkshire and have had difficulty conversing with some local people. Maybe that's because I use terms like 'conversing' though

tiny hotel rooms. Fees for every little thing imaginable. Cameras watching you at every corner. All taxis look like old bentleys. Crazy drivers. Crisp shop at every corner. Lots of tourists. Then again I've only been to London.

I would say the stereotypes Americans have about us aren't half as bad as those we have about them.

They think we're posh and have bad teeth, and many of us seem to think they're all evangelical illiterate hicks who shoot everything they see and hate black people and gays.

I love African American People. Which is the term I believe.

Kind of harsh I think. But you are sort of right when you are dealing with some states. The same could probably be said for what we think.

Yeah, Americans call any black person "African American".

Nelson Mandela = African American

David Haye = African American

Idris Elba = African American

To the average American (USA) the rest of the world does not exist or is of no importance.

I think a lot of people (at the least in the US) think of the UK as England - sorry Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales apparently you don't get any recognition - hahaha.
