SE sucks, they killed their fanbase with XII, XIII and XIV. Even though the first half of XII is great and the fight system is pretty cool, the plot went nonsense. XIII sucks at all but graphics, and sure I prefer a game that is great at all but graphics instead.

this, even if it was still expensive. There is no rule saying you HAVE to push the consoles to the max, I have played some great looking games that I know didnt cost the dev an arm and a leg to make.

it already has...

looks at type-0.

Sorry for double

Also, plot has nothing to do with what platform.

if you don't like plot by X individual on PS3, you won't like his plot on PSP.

Well FF relies much on the west. And to keep reaching core gamers in the west they need to keep it on home consoles.

DQ and MH aren't very popular in the west. So they keep it on hand helds which is what Japan seems to prefer.

Regardless of the quality, it has little chance of achieving RE4 or RE5 sales.

On Feb 4th, RE:R not yet released in NA.  On March 14th, RE5 released in the West (March 13th Pal-NA).

3DS established userbase: 15million.

PS3/360 userbases in 2009: ~35Mil.

Type of games released on HD twins: M rated games.

Type of games released on portables: E-T rated games.

Resident Evil fan current base: PS3/360.

Type of growth for RE:R and most Nintendo games: Long-term.

Typer of growth for RE5 and most HD twin games: Short-term spike.

Maybe for the moment you're right, but given time RE:R will outsell them.

Short term spike means they sell a shit ton of copies before a game hits the bargain bin. Right?

Anyhow, my point is if you wanna reach core gamers in the west its difficult to do on hand held platforms.

PSP was successful at moving core software for a couple years but people lost interest. DS was never good at moving core software period.
