Its Capcom that dosent get DMC, thats why the DMC series is a cannoncal mess. that why almost every game Capcom has developed this console generation has been mediocure at best.
Dante has changed in each DMC. i trust Ninja Theory because they are interested in creating relatable characters in believable stories. if they can do that for DMC but maintain the action at the same time i will be very happy.
Ninja Theory shouldnt get Dante, theres nothing to get. as you said hes irrelevant. the point is to make this character, this series relevant again. as someone mentioned God of War, that is a somewhat reasonable comparasion. but the story in God of War 3 was so awful, after 5 games an interesting character (Kratos) with more potential has been made irrelevant because of unskilled writers. thats why i'm glad Capcom chose Ninja Theory.
and this information is not new. anyone whoes been paying attention sinceTGS 2010 knows that Capcom chose Ninja Theory for these reasons.
