NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The idiocy has already begun!!! :( Can't they understand that it's not because a console sports a secondary screen that they have to use it? Did they have to use kinect when making it on the 360? ...... Obviously No.

Why the double standards, this is getting ridiculous for heaven sakes? I want to slap them.

Their reasoning is a bit...sketchy lol

Well yeah, if you take it out of context like padib did in his post and ignore their primary reasoning, which is that the Wii U was announced too late in the development cycle of the game. Perfectly sound reasoning...

Besides, it's up to them what platforms they develop their game for. If they don't want to develop on Wii or Wii U that's up to them - Wii U will get better support than Wii did, but it won't be as comprehensively supported as Sony and MS's platforms, and people are deluding themselves if they think it will. If you want to play all these 3rd party games then you have to buy a console they're actually made for, just as people do for 1st party games. Simple as that.

This, if you dont have another platform to play it on by now, then you were just not that interested in the first place. LOL at the crying

That's not the point buddy. It's not about me... I have the consoles I want, safe those I can't afford. When will you understand not all of us are rich? :S

Anyways, even then, even if I had money, it's not about what I can play. Vgchartz is a site where people talk about the business of video games. In that context, it angers me that developers continue to shun the Nintendo platform and giving lousy excuses. Is that okay with you? You constantly say the same thing, but try to understand for reals this time.

This situation, though ok for most players, is bad for Nintendo and their business, and their business is important to me. You may find this odd, but I have an attachment to the company and wish its success. When news like this comes out, I am very displeased. I hope you can understand that.

you have to be rich to own more than one console?? No you dont, i have 2 current gen ones, and im not close to rich. buy one one year buy another some time else, its not hard.

It is okay with me, because guess what?? I dont just have a Ninty console as long as the games i want to play come to at least one console I own im good, and even if it doesnt, meh, I got my pick of the litter. FYI i long for the day when all 3rd party games are  multiplat for all systems, but i know thats not feasible right now, so whatcha gonna do?? Not buy games?

This is where you and I are different, I have not attachment to any of these companies, I have not stock so there buisness does not affect me in the slightest, at the end of the day my life is unaffected. Cant understand why someone would be attached to a corporation if they have no financial stake in it, but to each his own

Must be really hard and taxing, porting this game to Wii U; specially if you can't find any "unique functionality" for the tablet.

And I thought this game was a given for Wii U.

from what i've heard developers say in the media, any new piece of hardware adds difficulty.  new libraries to get accustom to, new QA plans to develop and execute.  if they got dev kits late or if their team isn't too big figuring these sorts of things might be just too much work for them in the short term.  i mean really, how many quality titles ever hit a system's launch.  shit takes time and porting isn't free and if the game launches this year the there could be anywhere from 0 to say 3M wiiU's out there.  not exactly a large audience to go after if getting the port up and running cost too much.

was anyone expecting this to come out for WiiU? Maybe I'm missing something here xD

hmmm.... then I'm probably poor. I can barely afford a 3DS with 3 games, have to use my roomie's Wii, don't think I'll be getting a Vita in all honesty. I don't have money to throw left and right. Now you know.

@italics. I appreciate the way you say that, but I'm trying to tell you it's not about me. It doesn't really matter what I do, it isn't the point. How do you not understand oni? It's about what consumers choose, not what I choose, and it's ultimately about what I wish for Nintendo, i.e. success.

3rd paragraph: Do you have a favorite team? A favorite boxer, or fighter? Something you feel attached to or patriotic of? I don't have a favorite hockey team, the closest I get is tennis and I vouch for Federer and Nadal, not either I respect both. In gaming, I respect all the companies, but personally, I vouch for Nintendo. I want them to be the winner in the end, if winner there is to be. With that ambition, I write my posts trying to understand the market. In this mindset, the position of these devs is one that is not only illogical, but revolting for me. There is no reason for them to shun Nintendo's platform, and it is revolting to me because it is 100% against my ambition. To each his own, but at least now you can possibly relate and maybe even understand. If not, sorry that it bothers you. I understand why I do it, and will continue to discuss it from a business perspective, not from a gamer's perspective. I hope it's okay.

That's true for all new hardware, and sooner or later they will have to figure out said hardware if they want to release a game in the future. The system is said to be easy to code (similar APIs to the Xbox) so a port wouldn't be that difficult. Vigil got their game working after an intensive month's work done by three guys. Making a HUDless Tomb Raider that runs as good as the PC version could be an incentive to go that extra mile in their development plans if they saw fit, but it wasn't unique. Fair enough.

"completely new canon" and not being a prequel, that's laughable. So pathetic to spit on your history like that,.

and the critical question is:

will the WiiU get ANY game at all!?

I mean the ''no Wii version'' trend has started again, before the WiiU even launches

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

So they are going to make a Mac version but not one for Wii U... lol

You do know that Tomb Raider already got rebooted before, right? This will be the third version of Lara Croft's youth.

Really? When? Then I lost all my respect for TR.

This is just to avoid saying that they're not doing it because it's not relevant saleswise.
