NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The idiocy has already begun!!! :( Can't they understand that it's not because a console sports a secondary screen that they have to use it? Did they have to use kinect when making it on the 360? ...... Obviously No.

Why the double standards, this is getting ridiculous for heaven sakes? I want to slap them.

Their reasoning is a bit...sketchy lol

Well yeah, if you take it out of context like padib did in his post and ignore their primary reasoning, which is that the Wii U was announced too late in the development cycle of the game. Perfectly sound reasoning...

Besides, it's up to them what platforms they develop their game for. If they don't want to develop on Wii or Wii U that's up to them - Wii U will get better support than Wii did, but it won't be as comprehensively supported as Sony and MS's platforms, and people are deluding themselves if they think it will. If you want to play all these 3rd party games then you have to buy a console they're actually made for, just as people do for 1st party games. Simple as that.

I understand Machina... I don't see why you're bashing the post above, they can choose to develop for whatever platform they want, of course you're right! But what I'm saying is that the reason they offered is not honest and makes me discontent.

Remember Machina, he offered two reasons:

KS: “At this time no. When we started developing the game we made a conscious decision that:

1) it was all about building the game for a platform and making sure the game was specific to that platform.

2) Given that we’ve been working on the game quite a while before Wii U was announced I think it would not be right to try and port it across.

Back to 1) If we started building a game for the Wii U we would build it very differently and we would build it with unique functionality.”

For point 2), you know like I do that timed exclusives exist, in this occurence exclusive to the HD twins, then ported onto Wii U. The definitive No here is what bothers me.

For "Back to 1)", it's clear he is referring to the Wii U tablet. Why would that matter if it won't even use Kinect or Move in my understanding? It just seems dishonest, that's all I'm saying.

Expected.
I will be surprised if they announce a version for WiiU. Maybe they don't have even a dev kit.

Well, we don't know if that's the genuine reason or not of course, but it wouldn't be good PR for them to say 'well, actually, we just don't want to work on Wii U', even if deep down that is the real reason.

Okay, yeah that's what I thought too. Glad we're on the same page. I know it's not genuine because through the wording I know they're referring to the Wii U tablet, and they aren't holding the same standards agains the other two platforms (double-standards). But I totally agree with you it would be PR talk. Some of us are learning to read between the lines. Thanks M.

Nice, was really hoping to see the game this year, I love TB.

Not too bothered about no WiiU port, I'll mainly be playing Nintendo games on that.

Will get this for 360 and PC.

huh? getting both?

This, if you dont have another platform to play it on by now, then you were just not that interested in the first place. LOL at the crying

That's not the point buddy. It's not about me... I have the consoles I want, safe those I can't afford. When will you understand not all of us are rich? :S

Anyways, even then, even if I had money, it's not about what I can play. Vgchartz is a site where people talk about the business of video games. In that context, it angers me that developers continue to shun the Nintendo platform and giving lousy excuses. Is that okay with you? You constantly say the same thing, but try to understand for reals this time.

This situation, though ok for most players, is bad for Nintendo and their business, and their business is important to me. You may find this odd, but I have an attachment to the company and wish its success. When news like this comes out, I am very displeased. I hope you can understand that.

Am I the only one who thinks that it's Square Enix who doesn't greenlight WiiU, not the developer.

Machina, I realize I didn't address this. Take a look at my reply to Oniyide, it should make things clearer as to why I post the way I post, and why I appreciate vgchartz. It's a place for me not to just talk about games, not to just talk about the games I play or can play, but to talk about the industry, and my pleasures and gripes about what it entails. It's a subject I'm passionate about, and I hope one day the people on this forum will appreciate that type of poster, that point of view.

Thanks.

That seems like a poor decision.

From other readings, it seems like it would be relatively easy to port the game to WiiU with at least the exact same functionality as PS360. That shoudl be their minimum considering the launch time frame.

Then if time permits they could add extra content/control options.

Seems to me like a bad idea on missed ROI.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Last time we heard, Nintendo made it part of their feature-set to offer easy porting of Direct X (I think 360) game content to the Wii U, specifically for cases like this. That's why I'm somewhat revolted.
