Agreed. Uncharted does get a slightly bad rep when it comes to shooting mechanics. A lot of people think of the cinematic experiences & platforming as the highlights of the series and oftentimes declare the shooting as mediocre. I personally believe Uncharted has the best shooting mechanics of any third-person game, and I don't see how anyone could declare it mediocre. It just handles so smooth & responsive, even when compared to Gears. It's espescially impossible to delcare one (Uncharted or Gears) as 'easily' superior since they're clearly offering differing experiences. I really don't think Uncharted's shooting could be declared mediocre by any objective measure. Note: this isn't completely in a reply to Jay, I just felt like saying this. OT: I'm not the one to get upset over my favorite games not receiving a certain award or score, but this is pretty odd. LittleBigPlanet 2 is an excellent game, it's an unanimous improvement over the 2008 winner, and was met with critical acclaim pretty much everywhere. It's kind of shocking that the game has received NO nominations (not wins, but nominations) from ANY websites. Just based on the sheer number of nominations created, it should have received a few nominations. But I guess that's what happens when you release in January and have so many breathtaking games released in the next 11 months. |
Yeah thanks and that is what I was saying, Uncharted is not known for its shooting elements.
