why would i shut up? Yes, i dont own a 360 (theres no point, the only exclusive game i want are the gears games, and i will never pay for online), so my room-mate does, so i get to play xbox all the time. since school started i have got to play and complete all Gears campaigns, play online, and co-op. but i pprimarly play co-op

i have put nearly 50 hours into gears 3 co-op alone.

i gave my reasons why i feel Uncharted has better shooting, and i stand by that. gears has great shooting mechanics as well, but i feel that Uncharted has better.

i dont see why you cant accept that i have a different opinion than you, but to say Uncharted has bad or mediocre shooting is disengenious.

i have explained why Uncharted is known as an action/adventure game and not a shooter. its because it is so much more than just a shooter.

Gears of War is called a shooter because its just a shooter.

both games are great shooters, i just prefer Uncharted 3 shooting much more. its much more flexible, and realistic (see: recoil), i see more of the screen while aiming, and i can do 360 degree pans with the camera., etc.

Why I say that you don't know what you are talking about?  Simply because you said something about the recoil and they all feel the same.  Each one of these guns have recoil and feel way different.  YOu also appear to be a ps3 fan***.  I love Uncharted and I never started the comparison, that was all on you.  Another thing I would like to mention, why get a 360, XBL is better. NOT the games, other than gears, forza, and halo. NOT a halo fan myself but there is no denying it is a good game.  Forza this gen has surpassed GT, and XBL is just better, but that is because it cost money.  Don't reply anymore, your opinion means nothing to me now without owning both. some how you are calling me a fanboy, while you are the one who brought in the gears comparison, now you have brought in a ps3 vs xbox comparison, as well as Forza vs GT5, and XBL vs PSN. whats the point of all this. it sounds like you may be the fanboy here.

my opinion is based off of me playing countless hours of both series. it would be rather pointless for me to by an xbox just to make you happy. not only would it be redundant, since the person i live with has an xbox, but it also only has 1 game series that i love, that i cant get on my ps3 or PC, and i wont pay for online.

you have responded with nothing but hostilities to my opinion, i have not attacked yours, why cant you do the same?and when i said all guns feel the same, it was a hyperbole, i was mostly talking about guns of similar classes. of course shotguns feel different than assult riffles..

Some of you are saying that LBP2 is more of the same as LBP1... That is a COMPLETE and false statement!

In fact, it is the most immense change any sequel to any series has seen this generation!  Just to solidify that statement lets take a look...

 

Gears of War:  Took SOME of the gray out and added some Green + a bigger monster every game... Nothing new.

Uncharted:  Made Graphics better and Hollywoodified its story...and made Elena half Asian.

Halo:  Hasn't changed its formula in 5 games.

Resistance:  Read Gears of War section.

Allowed players to create highly advanced AI characters

Was Fully Backwards compatible with LBP1

 

The changes LBP2 made over its predecesor are SOOOOOOOOOOO far out of the park compared to EVERY single other series this generation are REMARKABLE.  For anyone to believe otherwise is foolish!

So which one is better if you do take money into the equation? XBL or PSN? I know that I'd never pay for an online service, no matter how good it is, because I can play all my PC and PS3 games online for free.

Honestly I would take XBL over psn. It is much much better. When it comes to online games I like XBL, but I like the trophy system better than achievements, and steam is a beast with all of the discounts they give you lol. XBL is like 4$ a month so it isn't to bad and in my opinion it is worth it because like I said it is much better. I'm not trying to sale you on XBL or xbox, if you really want to know I like my PS3 better due to exclusives.  I never wanted to make all the comparisons, all I wanted to say is that LBP2 didn't deserve to be on the GoTY list.  It deserved nominations for other awards but not GoTY.  Gears was a surprise to people on the other hand and has recieved the GoTY award from places like Machinima.  You need to understand that GoTY consists of multiple things. One, how good the game is, the storyline (LBP2 not so much). How is the multiplayer(if it has one), the critic ratings, etc.  Can you tell me that any of the 5 games on the GoTY list did not deserve nominations?

Every game adds a little bit but  for most of the time the gameplay stays the same for the most part.  And yes I like LBP2 more than the first. Gears added beast mode, fortifications on horde, the MP playstyle has changed largely, new weapons, weapon mechanics has changed, and yeah you get it.  All the games that got nominated were great games so why is it so hard to understand it didn't get nominated for GoTY.  Zelda, Arkham city,  Skyrim, Uncharted 3, and portal 3 were all great so does it matter?

I played LBP2 with my buddies from 12 AM to 04.

Holy mother of god, that game is INCREDIBLE. It's my favourite game this year behind UC3. Jesus wow. I played this map that was like.. Star Wars, Jedi art or some shit. It was like the star wars episode 1 phantom menace track in 8-bit XD with fun as fuck saber swinging and force usage, battling ..my god. AND LOL the Street fighter LBP 2 ragdoll feel ROFL. Guys, you have to check those levels out. I was blown away!!

That is a horrible list by gamespot.  They nominate Uncharted 3 for GoTY but leave it out of ps3 GoTY, makes no sense.
