If that is the case, THQ and Ubisoft (I think) were exaggerating about the WiiU's specs? Or were they sent devkits which aren't useable anymore? Someone is lying or this was a Nintendo fuck up.
If these rumors are true, then Nintendo will finally enter this gen.

No it was not. The PC's of that time were Crysis one level. The PS3 and 360 are just now getting it and they had to horribly down grade the game to do it even with the knowledge of how to work the system that they have now.

PCs of the time weren't close to Crysis level, not until the 8800 series did PCs overtake consoles in graphics performance, it was a huge leap over the previous generation of GPUs which consoles were bassed on. Playing crysis above medium at a decent resolution at 30fps was only possible on a 8800GTS or better.

And Crysis was released 2 years after 360 and 1 year after PS3 and Wii were released. So you can't say PC's were at Crysis level because it didn't even exist at that time.
That would be slightly better.
Which means the early games may only look as good the late games of PS360.
The basic specifications are the similar but the basic specifications of all PC are similar too.
Wait and see until the real specs arrive. Other faithful developers talked about the much higher power of the Wii U.

Everyone please back away from any bridges you may be about to jump off of.
A) This rumor is complete BS
B) 768MBytes of eDRAM would destroy any processor on the planet, but the chip would be almost 15 square centimeters (yes centimeters, not millimeters).
C) Even if this rumor had a grain of truth to it, it's far more likely that the amount of eDRAM should be 768 Mbits, not bytes. This equals 96MB, which is a much more reasonable amount. Also, this is just the embedded memory (i.e. L3 cache) and not the system memory.
But, all in all, this rumor is laughable at best.
