by the way i took all these from Phone not a straight screenshot, as you can see they're the same as the "Crappy" photos (like you guys say) that OP has posted.

they really rushed this one, but everyone is praising them.

aren't you the same guy constantly praising skyrim... you know... the game full of bugs and glitches...

for example -> http://www.geek.com/articles/games/skyrim-ps3-save-bug-renders-game-unplayable-20111117/

Yes i am, are you comparing Uncharted to Skyrim?

now do you think it is fair that i say Gran turismo has less glitches than Uncharted? thats what you are doing, comparing a linear scripted small 10 hour game to a massive unscripted huge 100 hour game

now if you want to compare it with something i say Uncharted 2 , which is exactly what i am doing.

so because its open world its ok for skyrim to have game breaking glitches?

WTF? This is rather wrong, I play Uncharted 3 mp very frequently and it doesn't look that bad at all lol, same with sp.

I'm pretty sure those are standard definition shots, lol.

And for all I know, those might be from before the E3 build was even released, hahaha.

So is he trying to fool us? I mean really?

Not 'everyone' is praising the game. This obvious exaggeration, your persistent digs at the game, accompanied with your off topic rant about Uncharted's weak plot in a thread about puzzles, lead me to believe you're actively searching for oppurtunities to complain about the game.

I don't know what Uncharted did to you, but I'm sorry

Lol, this is ontopic , i'm talking about it being rushed, like the OP is saying, now offtopic is what happened here

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=137149&page=1#

when i was talking about skyrim then someone who knows himself went on and said "NAUGHTY DOGS ARE GODS!" THAT is offtopic.

by i like Uncharted i enjoyed all the games and when i played them i couldn't leave the controller down, but i think its overrated, especially 3 in its graphics, 2's graphic were polished a lot , so was 1's but 3 is rushed, and the one on Vita looks like it is more polished from as far as we've seen which is a shame for naughty dog.

well that settles it. for the longest time i was super confused at what you were talking about. but the bolded statement proves it.

your eyes are broken.

i clearly said POLISHED, i OBVIOUSLY didn't say that it looks better graphically, i said its more POLISHED, as in everything running the way it should be, they're not showing fake gameplay trailers than the real gameplay is something else.

@jay

i obviously didn't "Come out of nowhere" i was talking about some disappointing factors in the game , i was right on topic , thats what the topic was about.

@o_O.Q

yes Open world do take a lot of extra chances, they're harder to do than linear games, obviously you knew that already, but trying to act like it doesn't matter

@brendedude

actually there is always something happening in the game, and all of it is unscripted, everything you see is guided by an AI, they do stuff the way they want, not to mention animals , dragons, weather....ect  , on Uncharted every NPC other than the heroes are just background , you also know that....

and can we get back on topic ? uncharted 3 ?  i really had no desire to mention Skyrim at all , but you guys went and fucked everything out and went very offtopic to make me look like a troll.

i've no desire to troll, i'm like you (the non biased people) a bit disappointed by some of the design choices they made, but i admit i don't place Naughty dog as high as most people do (i do prefer other sony studios ) , its just disappointing to see this happen after Uncharted 2 and a bit weird that they haven't included simple things like shadows and anti aliasing, they actually might patch the game to include these things, because they can, its not that hard to do, and judging from other games, PS3 CAN handle simple stuff like that, Uncharted 2 did so why the hell this one doesn't?, i OBVIOUSLY said the game was rushed because of this, they should have made this before shipping the game. but now is  too late for graphical tweaks ? i don't really know for sure.

:S i think I played a different game

Yea without going back and forth. This is pretty much how i feel. It is simply not as bad as the screenshots posted.

Ah the fun of reading comments from people who don't understand the first thing about graphics.

U3, like U2, contains some interesting innovations (on console) to the engine and continues the excellent work ND have put in (which is why they get praised) to their engine.

Games and cut-scenes always change as well vs trailers, particularly for something that's very narrative driven like Uncharted. The original E3 was a trailer that was fully pre-rendered clearly took place (then) at a different time of day entirely hence the huge lighting differences in the bus sequence. For E3 ND would have no space considerations so would simply render it as a "target" for final.

In the final game the scene clearly takes place very early morning after sunrise whereas in the E3 trailer lighting levels are much lower allowing (correctly) for more detail and colour to be visible. The lighting and approach is totally different and if you look details are there but now obscured (correctly) by the bright, intense sunlight coming directly into the bus.

The overall resolution of the cut-scene have been dropped, and it's pretty obvious to me that they have been dropped to match the actual game (much like U2) to make sure there is no glaring difference. I'd need to check but I'm pretty sure the final U2 cut-scenes were clearly lower resolution than the trailers originally advertising the game as well.

I haven't played enough MP yet to comment on that but SP in Uncharted 3 is in line with 2 features of engine plus new features as well further enhancing gameplay options - for example it's doubtful U2 build could have handled the ship sequence nor key aspects of the fight on the plane. Also the fire sequence in the Chateau would have been impossible in U2 build as well.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

So true Reasonable...the crappy thing is many of the posters bashing the game in here will not read or aknowledge the points you've raised. But instead wil just continue with their skewed opinion, this is not even something that is opinion based. I hate how people come into a thread with a an absolute take on a topic and then dont budge from that original take. I guess this is a bit of an off topic response but been seen this a lot lately, just gettin to me i guess.

The thing is U3 does so much more than U2. So comparing it like for like is wrong. Theyve obviously made comprimises in certain areas to be able to do the things that they do on U3. Like i said in my earlier post, naughty dog's main goal is not to have the best textures, shadows or anti aliasing when zoomed in close and comparing screenshots, but rather to produce the best game they feel they can produce.

I also think your perception of U3 being rushed is wrong, i think Naughty dog tried to outdo themselves in U3 and go beyond what they were doing in U2. The end result is obviously different. Sure they could have done minimal changes to the engine and just focused more on the story, but they tried very hard to outdo themselves. So i think what you seeing is a developer that was probably just trying something different. Which doesnt mean it was rushed or not polished. Naughty dog themselves said they rewrote big parts of the engine to accomodate U3.

You act as if the game has some sort of game breaking bug....and they should have delayed the release. Uncharted 3 is one of the most polished games you will ever see. Uncharted as a franchise was already a cut above the rest when it comes to polish, and even if uncharted 3 wasnt as polished as 1 or 2 its stil up there with the best.

Have you played Golden Abyss? How do you know they aren't showing "fake gameplay trailers" for Uncharted: Golden Abyss? You JUST said Uncharted 3's graphics are inferior to trailers, so WHY are you using GA's trailers to imply that it's gameplay will be polished? You're assuming it's going to look the same as the trailers which, considering Uncharted 3's allegged discrepancies with trailers & gameplay, is definitely not a fact yet, we'll have to wait for release, unless you're mistakingly placing faith in trailers again. For all we know, the game will turn out just like Uncharted 3 did: have good looking trailers, but worse looking actaul gameplay (in your opinion).

Also that thread wasn't about dissapointing factors. It was much more specific: It was about missing oppurtunities for puzzles (i.e. Not the plot or story). So yeah, you were off topic.
