Hardware did not go up high enough to drop the ratio to that level. For example PS3 has sold 26m in this region with 183m software sales, So if you divide 26 into 183 you don't get 6.88...


EDIT : Apparently there have been huge adjustments to the hardware which is the reason why the attach ratio is out of whack, Honest mistake

Wish they would put on article on the front page addressing adjustments as it's hard for the average person who doesn't save the numbers every week to know of such things.

Anyway good week especially for 360 wasn't expecting such a bump and PS3 ain't doing half bad either! :P

Not surprising HD console sales are spiking so early.
Pretty much every major game of the year is releasing between October 15 and November 15 this year.........( Batman, BF3, Gears, Uncharted, Skyrim, AC3, MW3

Will be really interesting to see Sony's shipped numbers for comparison. I still believe PS3 is undertracked by around 1 million worldwide.
