why would millions of hardcore gamer whine? explain more.
By the way Phoenix Wright is also on IOS phones, thats the version i have actually.

Cause I'm was like the only member who ever posted threads about iOS a few years back.. and saw the hate it got.. with members laughing at the idea of games on the smartphone.. claiming it will never take off without buttons.. that no "real" franchise would come.. only simple stupid games would come out.. that I would forever play with 1 to 5 buck games.. there was a time that none of us had a smartphone..

It's not a real Layton game, just a simple and stupid game with the name tacked on. Now go and cry a river.

You're right.. it's like a Luigi game...

anyway

awesome

I wouldn't even call it a Luigi game, more like a Toad game, if they ever made one.

Weren't you the guy who wants an iphone cause he was going into mobile gaming business?

You have to think differently with the business model at hand.. yours is outdated.. and comparing apples to oranges...  besides the unlimited shelf time you get with DL games.. Level 5 is probably making a game with exra rooms/levels as DLC maybe even Ad suported..

Epic games stated they earned 20 million dollars with 5 million paid downloads with Infinity Blade.. but 4 months earlier they earned 11 million.. that's 9 million in 4 months.. and "Since we launched IAP (in app purchases.. dlc) in Infinity Blade, it accounts for about 45 percent of our revenue," So Epic is making a buckload of money for a 2 million dollar game cause in the long run they can keep the game fresh, in the spotlight, in a cheap way..

Ad example: Angry Birds made 1 million dollar in ad revenue a month back in december 2010.. when they had 30 million dowloads.. this month they have had reached 400 millionth download of Angry Birds..

if Level 5 plays it cards right with a good game and with reguraly DLC and maybe Ads.. they'll surpass the ROI on a DS game..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I was going to say (before i found out it was a spinoff) that it was a bad idea to lose Nintendo's localization support. Who would want to lose that?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

BUTBUTBUTBUTBUT..... LAYTON IS A NINTENDO IP!!!!!!!

So let me get this straight, Layton has a son, we know nothing about it, they just threw all this randomly. DAMN YOU LEVEL-5

okay another question, why are people going to be all "Nintendo DOOMZESZ" is layton a huge system seller? i don't follow sales much.

It is a good seller, but the games are top quality

Also, people, the final DS Layton released today, get it NOW.

I was looking forward to mystery room for ds, so I'm a little disappointed. Trailer looks nice though.

Is Layton a Ninty IP? Why is this and Pokemon going to ios?

I'm amazed studios are doing this, they actually think gamers own iphone ect for gaming purposes, they play stuff like Angry Birds, not Layton ...

Layton Brothers... that's out of no where.

As long as the main titles in the series continue to see release exclusively on DS/ 3DS, I honestly don't see what the big deal is here. It would be a bigger blow to Nintendo if the main franchise migrated to PSV

Angry Birds is coming to PSP, PS3 and DS/3DS... does that mean that iOS is d00med because it's biggest killer app is no longer exclusive?

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
