Final Fantasy XI was an awesome game. Most of the Final Fantasy fanbase is filled with morons who label it as shit because their too fucking cheap to spend $12.95 a month on it. Final Fantasy XIV flopped due to no advertising, bad team management, poor development, and other various issues. Learn your fucking facts before you spew shit.

i enjoyed ff13 alot better than me2, i am not a fan of the mass effect series at all. i have beaten ff13 4 times and will start my 5th try sometime soon. i will glady get ff13-2 as well, i know millions of other ppl will as well. also ff11 is a great game, have spent over 7 years in the game so far and keep coming back for more. ff14 that was horrible, because it was about 7 months or so from a real release a square-enix rushed it to shelves , they should have just made a ff11-2 instead would have been a huge success for them.

The only reason many people bought Final Fantasy XIII is because of nostalgia, even with the negative reviews people still hoped to taste a little of what they loved about their favourite(s) Final Fantasy.

One is a main series Final Fantasy... One's a RPG that just started this gen. If ME didn't sell less, that SE would be in a considerable amount of trouble.

Having finished both games, its difficult to compare them against each other. in reality we should be comparing FF13 to FF7 or FF10 sales. and i think there are good reasons which people have stated which explains why it wasnt as successful as those titles.

i think FF13-2's sales will determine whether FF13 has been a success, but sales dont tell us everything. i mean based on information from Bioware about 50% of ME2 users completed the game. however we dont know how many people completed FF13, i know a few people who didnt bother completing it. so what if out of 6 mil people only 2 or 3 mil finished it, or if only 3 mil got past the halfway point??

either way the fact that the developers of FF13 are adding multple decision converstations to FF13-2 should speak volumes on what they thought about ME2. not to metion quick time events (God of War) and now monster hunting (Pokemon), so in relality is it possible these features were added because Sqaure felt threatened from companys like Bioware... i think the answer to that is obvious!

I thought FF13 was a better than what the negativity suggests. The thing is, I have been disappointed, to some degree, in every Final Fantasy game since 8; I was on guard for this one, so I played it with lower expectations than what I had for 9, 10, and 12. FF8 got a lot of negativity towards it, but personally I was blown away by it, and felt it was one of the finest RPGs ever released - it was more content filled than any other game in the series. I think that from FF6, and onward, I was somewhat blown away by each game in the series; I really liked FF4, I was blown away by FF6, I was blown away by FF7, and blown away again by FF8... FF9 was very disappointing, and FF10 less so, but still disappointing, FF12 was disappointing because it felt like there was a lot of cut content from what would have been the ultimate FF game; and the overdose of battles in FF12 was too much too. FF13 I wasn't expecting much, I bought it because I knew there was value to it, and it turned out there was... I would be lying if I said I liked this much as much as other FF games though; but I do like it more than a lot of RPGs I have played.

To me, it is a game that is still worth playing. I am not really a fan of Mass Effect type games, so I have no interest in playing those. I will, however, buy FF13-2 and FF15 (or FF14 if they scrap the old project, give up wasting time on these stupid online RPG attempts, and make FF14 a true Final Fantasy title).
