wasn't really what i expected from the Wii U, but it wasn't bad by any means. the controller has a lot going on with it, should be interesting and it looks like it has endless applications. can't wait for some awesome first party stuff for it

the 3DS games were great, about time they are getting some console moving software out for it. excited for Mario Kart, Super Mario and Luigi's Mansion

But....but....but.........

I thought it was just a reimagining of the Armogohma fight from Twilight Princess with WiiU hardware. Still is beautiful though.

Now, I wouldn't mind if Nintendo canceled Skyward Sword in favour to that game

Oh My God I feel like crying...
there is a single thing not great or good enough!

Switch!!!

Okay so I'v ehad a quick skim through the new, laughed at some stuff, thought some stuff was a joke...

Can someone link me to a recording of the entire conference, please?

The editors of G4 got their hands-on with the WiiU and they said that it's really easy to control (minus for one demo, I forgot wich it was) and is as light, maybe even lighter than an I-pad...

Nintendo was the one who had a NEW console reveal....it was their E3 to lose and they lost! heck people are not even sure wth WIIu is even, ports of ps360 games way later etc etc...

I give it a 6 or 5/10. I would have given it a 5 but I do realize people love Super smash games so 6.10

From what I read, Wii U has many nice features, but I still have a doubt: does it support local multiplayer with more than one new tablet controller? Or is the new controller only for SP and network and online MP, while local MP is supported only with classic and Wii controllers and at most only one player using the new controller?

Here's a couple of hands-on reports... They seem quite glowing whilst accepting it's still early days.

The only thing that I think could have made this E3 presentation better would be more information about future Wii/DS releases to lead out until the WiiU arrives. (No XB or TLS mentioned? Bah!) Overall, it wasn't bad. But I still feel a lot of unanswered questions. Then again, didn't Nintendo say they'd announce Wii games throughout the show?

I am watching the replay now since I was at work during the conference. My impressions:

Opening: Kind of lame.  (EDIT: I just found out the video I watched cut out the first 20 minutes.  It started with Reggie.  I guess I just missed the Zelda thing.  I'm not going to bother watching that.)

Mario Kart 3DS:
Hang gliders and underwater racing? Holy shit. Awesome.
Available this holiday? There is your killer app.

Starfox 3DS:
Not too exciting since this is a remake, but tilt control seems pretty cool. I know I am not the only person that did this with the controller as a kid. Seeing you opponents faces during multiplayer? Very cool. September release.

Not a lot of showmanship in this conference. Just straight to the point. Kind of boring.

Super Mario 3DS:
Trailer wasn't very exciting, but it never is for me for Mario platformers. I'm sure it will still be one of the best games on the console, and of the generation. Another Nintendo title before the holidays? Wow.

Kid Icarus:
I was not impressed last year. Looks more like something I wold be interested in this year. Multiplayer? 3 v 3? Very interesting. I was not expecting that. Looks pretty cool too. What the hell was with the cards?

Luigi's Mansion 2 (3DS):
I like the first a lot. I can see 3D working well for this one.

3rd parties:
RE: Mercenaries, M&S@Olympics, Ace Combat, Tetris, Cave Story, RE: Revelations, Driver, Pac-Man, Tekken, MGS Snake Eater. Nice, I guess. I don't really care for any of these.

3DS Features:
E-shop, internet, demos(I know some people have been begging for this), Virtual Console (nice), Pokedex3D

Wii U:
Sounds similar to Wii 2 when said aloud. I wasn't sure about the rumors, but I am actually really liking what I see about the new controller. I LOVE that you can play on the controller with someone else watching the TV. That is HUGE as far as I am concerned. The Wii Sports Baseball demo showed some cool potential. Aiming with it too? I like anything similar to the Wii's IR pointer. Video calls? Cool, although I doubt I will get to use it much. I am loving the other gaming possibilities too.

Iwata comes on:
Backwards compatible with all Wii stuff? Thank God. All standard controller buttons, plus most stuff in the Wii Remote Plus, plus microphone, plus camera, plus touch screen. Awesome. Not portable. I expected that. More internet connectivity. Not a big deal for me, but I know other people like this.

Miyamoto:
I can't wait for his games on this thing.

Smash Bros on both the console and handheld? Sweet.

Tech demo: Looks great, but I want games.

Controller "not games or demos":
NSMB Mii: Play only on the small screen is a possibility. As I said before, I LOVE this idea.
Pirate game: Move the screen in all directions to see different perspectives. Could be interesting.
Chase Mii: I love this concept. This was done on the Gamecube with Pac-Man and a Gameboy Advance. This was incredibly fun multiplayer. Now this console can do it out of the box? YES.

Lego "GTA": Wow, lol. Not for me, but good for kids.
Here comes the 3rd party praise. I hope they stick around this time. They have given some good games to Nintendo, but on the whole over the past 3 generations they have been a big disappointment. They really need to step up their game.
Darksiders II: I know nothing about the first. (video looked cool though)
Tekken: The only fighter I like anymore is Smash Bros.
Batman: Arkham City: Here come the cheers! I wanted to play the first, but never got the chance. Now it will be on a console that I will actually own.
Assassin's Creed: Another franchise that I have heard great things but have never had the chance to play.
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Nice
Dirt: Not a racer fan except for MKart
Aliens: Interesting
Metro Last Light: I'm guessing this is in the Metro 2033 (I think that is what it was called) franchise? I heard good things about that game.
Ninja Gaidan: Damn, that trailer was vicious.

EA: The first thing he talks about is a "break through in relationship" and graphics. Lol.

No price yet. Hmm... (not that I expected one)

No Wii stuff?    What about those RPGs?

Overall, I am excited. I like what I saw.
