If you can't find the difference between an army marching in and conquering, and a bunch of immigrants begin to bitch and whine and recieving outside help claim land in the area they immigrated to, then I can see where you would get confused.

Leaving aside the fact that these immigrants were joining an extant Jewish population, I guess you want immigrants and their offspring to be perpetual strangers in a strange land, then? To have to put up with rioting and looting if their neighbors feel like dishing it out? That is an unrealistic desire with no basis in reality whatsoever. The Mamluks, the Ottomans, and the British all permitted Jewish immigration whether or not the Arabs liked it because, as a ruled people, they had no say so in the matter. Since you already concede that taking something by force is somehow right and just, I don't think you have a leg to stand on. The Jews only owned 6% of the land before the war and 75% afterwards, so there, then: they took it by force in a defensive war. You are simply splitting hairs and constructing a completely absurd idea of what is legitimate and what is not purely out of a bias against Israel.

No, I want immigrants to assimilate, not to whine and bitch and claim the land they immigrated to as their own. I am not splitting hairs, because I honestly can't care about either Israel or Palestine, however if a group of immigrants use outside help to get their land, it doesn't really mean it should be theirs.

I agree that immigrants should assimilate, but that is the danger of mass immigration: they simply cannot be assimilated that quickly. That's a policy question, though, and rather beside the matter at hand. Your arguments have been all over the place, as on the one hand, you'll argue that American Indians haven't a right to lay claim to the lands that they lost to immigrants, and on the other hand, you say that Jews have no right to any land in Israel because they are the immigrants (when, again, the immigrants only joined a previously existing and long established population).

Last I checked the Americans needed no outside help to demolish the native american population, unliked the immigrating jews in the middle east.

1. Other than arms contracts that they paid for, what help did the Jews get?

2. How did the Jews "demolish the native population" when they were fighting a force overwhelmingly comprised of non-Palestinian Arabs, the vast majority of Palestinians having left thanks to Arab leaders encouraging them to do so and also a decided lack of enthusiasm at the prospect of helping yet another foreign country conquer their land? They were smart enough to know that if Egypt conquered Palestine, they would be no more in control of their own destiny than they were under the British or Ottomans.

Arms contracts in the middle of a revolt from a neutral party, that even some of the jewish commanders agreed saved Israel. But hey, I guess that's fine by you, just liek it must have been fine by you when the CIA funded a whole bunch of other revolts all over the place in the past. I look down on any conflict in which neutral partes involve themselves in, I guess you don't. I would not be disagreeing with Israel at all if they had won the conflict with their own resources.

The demolishing part pertained solely to the white vs native conflict, not towards this particular one.

So after the Muslims sell land to the Jews, the British forbade the Jews to own weapons or form militias but proved unable to provide security in Palestine, then sold weapons to Israel's future opponents like Transjordan, the Jews didn't win fair and square because they secured a few weapons contracts before they were invaded by no less than 7 countries?

This whole discussion has clearly been a waste of time, as I am now firmly convinced that you haven't any idea at all what happened.

I had no idea that the whole arabic league was the one that fought against Israel at the time? News to me, but thanks for letting me know what I don't know.

This isn't about fairness or not, this is about the involvement of neutral countries in a conflict that doesn't concern them, I would venture to say that Jordan and Egypt were far more impacted by the existance of Israel than Czechoslovakia. If anything the jews were the idiots who decided to start a revolt in the middle of a muslim dominated region. They should have found a way to win it themselves. I already mentioned that if Israel had won the war with their own resources I wouldn't be disagreeing with its existance.

As I said, there have been plenty of cultures who have died out before, and there is nothign wrong with that. Even then I somehow doubt that judaism would have disappeared if there wasn't an official jewish state. It's a fairly tight knit and resilient culture.

Yeah, those dumb Jews. They started it all. What the fuck were they thinking, asking Arabs to attack their neighborhoods like that?

As I already stated, it wasn't their neighborhoods. They just immigrated there, and that doesn't make it theirs.
