The ads are the same in Germany and Austria and as such very disappointing. I thought those ads were more or less teasers and by launch time Nintendo would run some commercials for games as well, but it hasn't happened yet. So far they are trying to sell the system purely on its 3D effect which is just weird. This is a gaming machine, they should advertise games.

thats right,i thought they'd show some game and then wow 3d too,

i guess they are early ads and people who buy first will buy anyway

I'm guessing Just Dance's Meta has flown over your head? As I generally say, Meta scores rarely tell the full story, and the fact that Homefront's sales have continued on a steady path should be evidence enough that gamers are liking it, thus it has good word of mouth.

In the end, Crysis 2 may cross 4 million (PC included), but again, that's nothing major (especially for that genre).

I'd be surprised by this...  frankly its a pretty bad game, certainly the campaign is woeful.  

I'm speaking strictly on the numbers we have. Looking at it's second week here, it's doing alright, there's no major drop off despite the lackluster reviews. That can only mean people are liking it and disregarding the critics.

We'll see what it does in the Americas to have a better picture.

I can be totally wrong - and probably am wrong - but I can see a problem with these games destroying each other's sales.

Bulletstorm got a bullet from Homefront and I expect next week Crysis2 to put Homefront in it's house.

I say next week because it is only fair to compare these games when each has had the chance to compete against each other for a full sales week.

The ads both of you describe look a lot like 3DS ads in Italy too. Did Ninty use the same ad, translating it in all the languages needed? Scrooge McDuck would be so proud... But this would make local ad agencies sad pandas!

that is what alot of people compared it to.  they where in the gdc 2010 move reveal video think sony is keeping it quite as a secret weapon hoping they will say something about it at E3. for all I know it could just have been a tech demo but it looks like a bit more than a tech demo. maybe they were not sure if they could get it working so stayed quite. hope not.

Oh 2.5k, big whoop. Still a drop from 2 weeks before that and it doesn't imply that sales will rebound. The game is stabilizing at 50% of GT4's sales, despite being sold in a higher volume month.

I have nothing against the game, just like to point out it's not doing too well. I've shown you countless times the trends this game is setting, and explained to you how a holiday season boosted early sales, and why this is important to acknowledge. I just feel like point out that, hey, it's matching my estimate on a weekly basis . I get the most controversy for this game, so why not keep it up? No one cares about my Halo estimates...
