Well there's already the very rare "Collector's Edition" that contains Ocarina, Majora's mask, Adventure of Link, and Legend of Zelda. They'll likely re-release that. Hopefully, Nintendo loves us enough to toss in Link to the Past, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess--but even if they don't, none of the games are hard to come by. I own 'em all!
The Mario games weren't on the VC (at least, not in that form) so it was a decent deal. The Zelda games (except the GC/Wii games) are. Anybody who wants em can get them. A nice package would be appreciated, though. That one package would offer enough gaming to last a year!
Hm.. Zelda turns 25, so does Metroid, DK turns 30 (Mario, too, but they used SMB as his first game for some reason, making him 25 last year instead) and Pokemon turns 15.
How about "Nintendo Party (without Mario)"?

theyr going to release a remake of oot for the 3ds
Being in 3rd place never felt so good
They won't do anything. At best they'll mention it in a mailout when OOT3D is released.

I wouldn't want the GC collection. It was a crappy emulation, with a low frame rate, lag, glitches and occasional hangups.

This. Nintendo doesn't love us that much.

That only holds true for Majora's Mask. The framerate is actually good and stable most of the time, only in some instances it drops to extremely low levels. Lag would be tied to the occasions where the low framerate occurs and there weren't any glitches that weren't present in the original release. The hangups were definitely annoying though, especially due to MM's save system. |
Are you sure? I thought there were occasional texture screwups and stuff. But it was years ago, maybe I'm wrong. I'm not happy with the Virtual Console version either, but in that case it's more that VC in general feels laggy. And, of course, N64 games haven't aged as favourably as SNES games. That's why I really welcome the 3DS ports (given Nintendo remakes MM too) - the early polygon graphics are pretty rough on the eyes nowadays.
I would like a disc with the first three games having the Zelda Four Swords GC game graphics, and maybe have some extra games as well.

Above: still the best game of the year.
