Wow huge adjustment to 360. Personally i think it is the right thing to do. If the site honestly has no clue what a console is selling in a region then going with the company numbers makes perfect sense.

However to do it a few hours before the official numbers are released is a bit strange. With adjustments for the quarter sees vgc predict 7m to be announced. Anything higher/lower then that will just mean re-adjustments. But if it is badly over like 1 or 2 million over i think it will confirm that the site can't track EMEAA as accurately anymore.

It would also mean the same thing must apply to both nintendo and sony products. The Wii was over-tracked by at least a million in the just announced results. And our numbers have PS3 for the same quarter at around 6.4m . Anything lower/higher then that and they must be adjusted acordingly. Once doing it that way you can't just chop and change to suit your daily mood. As someone else mentioned the adjustments make so many past threads now look stupid.

VGC probably wanted to do one last adjustment before official figures in order to be able to claim minimal differences when the official figures are announced. Thus making them appear more credible.

I don't get it, why did PS3 didn't drop as much as others? Don't say LBP2 please.

Above: still the best game of the year.

So did the Wii get adjustment yet?.. clearly it HAS to have some after the Ninty numbers..

Will probably come in before the weekend. I don't want to make my year end 2011 hardware sales prediction before we can establish how many consoles were actually sold at the beginning of the year/end of last.

Fine lauch for LBP2 for me.  Right after people have bought lots of games during December yet it launched with slightly higher sales.  It'll have legs for sure and from my experience so far it's going to see far, far more interesting level designs.

Against the grain I think the ME2 sales are okay.  That's retail and I believe a fair number of people will have simply bought it on PSN - I know a number of my friends did.  Also, a fair number of PS3 owners would have got it way back on PC and (speaking as one of those) there was no major reason to double dip.  Worldwide it'll do okay coupled with digital sales to establish the franchise in time for ME3.

Decent sales for PS3 and fine for 360, although it looks like PS3 is going to remain ahead in EMEAA for sure now, even if it's lead is much narrower than 360 in US.

GT5 surely going to do very well LTD in EMEAA.  It remains the dominant force in that genre it would seem.

Kinect remains good, too.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Not so happy with LBP 2 sales, but brilliant PS3 sales. BRILLIANT!

Because of an exclusive game, people.

And expected adjustments. Difference is now, according to the front page, 4.1 million between the PS3 and the 360.

More because the PS3 numbers have stayed the same and all the others have had adjustments.

We will see in about 5 hours if the adjustments were right or not :)

Yeah no prob, looking forward to it. Its not like if the 360 is adjusted up again there's anything to lose.

Wow @ The Adjustment.

So we're back to less than 4M gap again.

I hope people aren't picking up ME2 on PSN if the price of it here is anything to go by... £48 on PSN vs ~£38 elsewhere.

If anyone has gone for the PSN version here then they need their heads examining...
