It doesn't quite make sense that they'd go down that route, I was thinking Tegra variant personally given the fact that Sony and Nvidia recently renegotiated the terms of their royalty agreement which pretty much implies they are either using them in the PSP2 or the PS4.
Tease.
Those price discussions do really get annoying... and they will continue till E3 at least...
Anyway, we will see tomorrow if this is true. I also hope that we see some nice game announcements.

Well I'm gonna buy mine in Rivet City because I have a 20% discount there plus the Master Trader perk which knocks another 25% off and then since my barter skill is at 100, that's even more savings.
So PSP2 will cost me like 100 caps bucks after all is said and done.

On topic: I don't believe these numbers. I thought that the PSP2 is supposed to be released around 6 months after the 3DS - many of these components aren't even being produced yet. QUAD core? Definitely not. |
Maybe because the psp2 has much better specs?

Well, a lot of people said on the internets they wanted a $600 ps3. Problem is, the internets don't represent the buying public.
Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

i stand by what i said before. this was later in the GCs life not at launch which i know already :P They never release a console that will not make them profit from day one. |
They also lose money on the launch. Look it up

What do you mean it's not even released yet? I though Android was a mobile phone operating system..
The Ipad which is basicly a giant ipod touch sells for over $500 sold 7 million in the last three months. Price is not an issue here people, and frankly I am tired of every PSP2 thread being derailed by that issue.
If the product has the games, the innovation , the games and is marketed properly, it will sell. The issue is Sony is a lousy marketer, they assume people are going to buy their products because it's a Sony.

Link?
And maybe that could just be related to possible upcoming die shrinks of the PS3's GPU (40nm/28nm)?
