Forums - Sony - PSP2 specs leaked out? HOLY DAMN!

IF this is true 60 dollar handheld games here we come.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

To the people bitchin about over priced.

Could you post all the parts individually and how much they cost to see the total?

How can we price the quad core ARM 9 when it doesn't exist? *starts his delorean*

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Dare I shout "FAKEZ!"? Isn't the conference is in like a few days, so we'll find out if those specs are real in a bit, no need to cause the shitstorm and the whole "OVERPRICED" argument yet. Sorry if someone did clarify that they are real, but I really struggled to read past page 2.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

It doesn't quite make sense that they'd go down that route, I was thinking Tegra variant personally given the fact that Sony and Nvidia recently renegotiated the terms of their royalty agreement which pretty much implies they are either using them in the PSP2 or the PS4.

Link?

And maybe that could just be related to possible upcoming die shrinks of the PS3's GPU (40nm/28nm)?

Hmmm.... Maybe these were leaked by someone who hates SONY.When they finally reveal the PSP2 and it uses older tech, SONYs fans will just be disappointed. Then it will definitely sell poorly for sure.

Again Sony did what they could to differentiate themselves from the competition delivering a high-tech handheld with lots of possibilities - if people perceive it's value and Sony releases the right games, people won't be bothered by the price. Look at Apple damn it.

For those who said "Sony didn't learn anything" - and how would they learn in your opinion? Releasing a mildly stronger but cheaper console months after the 3DS? What's the chance of such device attract any atention by any means?

That's what Nintendo tried with the Gamecube - moderately stronger, $199 - and it died a screaming death (even though I love it <3)

At leas they made money of the GC from day one. How did the PSP differentiate itself from a regular console? What did it do different to improve on gameing other than graphics? I do not know all about it so tell me what that was?

They didnt :P

any source to back up what you said?

This is the best i could find, seeing as GameCube is almost 9 year old console

i stand by what i said before. this was later in the GCs life not at launch which i know already :P

They never release a console that will not make them profit from day one.

They also lose money on the launch. Look it up

well they do not mention it in any of the liks you gave :P

Why don’t you quote where it says they lose money on launch?

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Finding sources on that today would be quite difficult, but it was widely reported that Nintendo admitted to taking a small loss on the Gamecube when it launched; and (IIRC) it was estimated to be a loss of about $20 per system sold.

Sounds about right, PSP2 should be similar to the PS3 in the same way as the PSP was similar to the PS2.

But power was never the issue with the PSP, the games were the issue, so hopefully Sony has that sorted this time around.

Exactly this. What's point of all this power if there aren't any games to utilize it?

Personally, I'm much more interested in hearing about what the launch titles are going to be.
