NICE!

Any chance for a trilogy release for the PS3?

Microsoft owns the rights to the first game so no. You know one and two would've been on one disc if it hadn't been for Microsoft owning ME1.

Fully? I thought they only owned publishing rights...

As for the two of them being on one disc, no I didn't know that :P

They funded the game, which means the game exclusively belongs to them. The IP does not belong to Microsoft. This is their issue where Sony is better with 2nd  party titles. They actually buy the IP's.

I can't imagine retailers were ordering a lot of copies. I didn't even see it on the pre-order list.

Anyhow, as a fan of the series I hope this translates great sales. Could just be hype.

I see. Well, you can't get them all!

I'm definitely going to buy mass effect 2,but I have a question: Should I borrow a 360 from a friend and play Mass Effect 1 before I buy it?What I want to say is,is it worth the time i'm going to spend playing?

they did not ship much which would explain this so-called demand.

If you're going to do that I definetely recommend you to play Mass Effect 2 on 360 as well. The transfer of your ME1 character into ME2 brings so much extra storylines, character interactions and funny sidestuff.

Edit: and yes, Mass Effect is a fantastic game as well with an amazing story, charters and world. You'll enjoy ME2 even more if you play that first.

You reminded me of the glorious Baldur's Gate days :)  I didn't know about the extra storylines.I'll have to think about what to do...I want those games on my collection but I think the 360 is too expensive for just 2 titles (I'm really not interested in anything else, except perhaps Alan Wake).

Oh and by the way, thanks a lot!

The series and game are both great. It deserves to sell well, even if it's a late (albeit good) port.

Oh Alan Wake is awesome. I've only played ME2 unfortunately as never did manage to pick up ME1. But there were several references from ME1 where I realized that had I played the first one the options would have been different, which I found pretty awesomely implemented.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.
