Thing is though, Nintendo's 1st party titles are actually a reason big enough in it's own to own a Wii in my opinion. If Nintendo get more 3rd party support next gen (which seems likely, coming off of a big victory this generation) they should have no problem winning the next generation as well. Skyward Sword will be amazing, no doubt! With titles like these, you have a solid core for your console.

On the PS3, I haven't really found the massive "wow!" experiences I once thought I would, the Uncharted games are the only ones for now. MGS4 is a very good game but not sensational imo and Final Fantasy XIII was a massive letdown for me. GT5 is a great game but has some issues that detract a bit for me.

As far as 1st and 2nd parties go, I think Uncharted is the excpetion to the rule in being close to Nintendo 1st parties.

I agree mummel i don't see nintendo losing next gen either, but i think ur being alittle hard on the PS3, you obviously have ur ps3 gripes but believe me wii owners have their wii gripes, we just don't express them and use the numbers to cover it up. Each console has its flaws and no console is perfect or ever will be unless sony, nintendo, and microsoft swallow their pride and join forces to take down the all mighty Apple. I want that so bad lol.

You're completely out of line with this. Theres a massive difference between having bias or showing a preferrence to actually being unfair, confrontational or trollish. I say trollish because it is fair enough to cheer for a side whether it be sport or your local console team given thats just a reflection of human nature. However it is unfair to bait and manipulate people in order to have fun at their expense or to act like a bully.

You probably don't know this but whenever someone says the PS3 is DOMED it links back to a thread I made to divert and deflect negative attention towards the PS3 back in early 2009. I was one of the last people supporting the PS3 on this site at a time when the PS3 had no friends yet you call me a biased 360 supporter? Infact if anything im a fanboy of ATI and AMD and quite often switch allegiences to support the underdog.

That's actually quite possible. It needs 1.8m more and there's three weeks left. It did over 700k this week, and since the holiday's gonna get bigger for the next two weeks, if we assume that the game will not bomb in Japan, 800k for the next two weeks is a piece of cake. And 200k for the post-Christmas week is pretty much guaranteed as well. Yeah, I'd put 4m as a possiblity, even.

There's only one GBA game in this list (no. 9), but maybe you meant GB games as well? If so, there is no. 4 which I wouldn't call easy to achieve this holiday, but maybe possible. All in all, I agree with the 5 million LT prognosis. As to whether it can achieve even more, it will be easier to tell  after we see the post holiday legs.
